Back in 2016, I came across a national-level student case study competition conducted by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). After a rigorous engagement with the management case study presented, I got to know about the CMA course offered by IMA, one of the highest levels of certifications in management accounting. Coming from a commerce background, it was a clear win-win situation for me, to pursue the course and synergize my learning with the Bcom curriculum.
I earned my CMA credential after passing 2 part exam and completing 2 years of professional experience in June 2020. CMA has worked wonders for me, and via this video, I bring you a detailed view regarding- what is CMA? Its scope, benefits, timeline, expenses, and benefits. Hi Devarsh, ideally you should have received a status update from IMA regarding this, however, you can drop a reminder to Jo Rego and the IMA membership team for an update.
Given that it's February, IMA (US) staff might be occupied with the Board of Directors Meet and IMA India staff might be occupied in organizing IMA Student Case Competiton 2022. There might be some delay, however, you can expect a response in 2-3 weeks' time.

Hi Manthan, you need LoR from the faculty and administration's/faculty's signature on the nomination form- if you are able to arrange these documents, then you can apply for the scholarship.

No, students from any college can apply for scholarships (given that the college meets the requirements set by IMA).

Hi Umesh, once you are awarded the scholarship- you get a login ID and password from the institute via email. You can use the same and book the exams directly. So effectively, you don't have to pay anything.

Are the students studying BCom in an open University eligible for the scholarship?
Distance learning students are not eligible for scholarship. However, if you are full time student with an accredited university, you are eligible for the scholarship. For more details, you can drop a mail to ima@imanet.org for more information.

I have few questions regarding filling the scholarship form
We have to enter university or college name, address and website in form ?
On faculty member email, do we have to enter college email or that faculty member's email because someone told me mail should be sent from college mail id

- Yes, we have to enter the college name, address, and other details required in the scholarship form.
- Please enter both email IDs (the college's email ID and the faculty's email ID) in the form and send the form as an attachment via the faculty's email ID.

After that i needed to send the form and LOR with principal's email id
@@ManjeetSingh-mf6ez Yes, you can put both the email IDs, and try creating LOR on a separate document (on the college's letterhead), and then attaching both to the email sent via the principal/HoD's email address.
Sir my graduation will complete in 2023 but my scholarship is valid till 2024. Will i be able to register for exams after my graduation?
Hi Aryan, the scholarship is valid for 3 years. Your college tenure doesn't matter once you receive the scholarship. However, after 3 years when you will renew your membership, you will have to opt for professional membership instead of student membership.

@@CrazyOmania Hi Kritika, it means- you can apply for a student scholarship anytime between 01 September 2021 and 30 June 2022. Further, the next window for scholarship applications will open on 01 September 2022 and close on 30 June 2023.
