After a few trips down the Petawawa, we changed planning from, "What will we need if it rains?" to, "What will we need because it will rain?" It seemed that only after we had embraced the reality of rain that the sun would ever come out (cuz for sure, if you plan on needing it to come out on day 3 or 4, it won't come out til day 5.)
I’m new to the back country camping scene. It’s posted everywhere in Provincial Parks that’s it’s illegal to remove/move dead fall and trees for firewood. Is this not true for backcountry camping for obvious logistical reasons? Or is it just not enforced? I really enjoyed your video and extra points for not letting the rain dampen your spirits!
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it! I asked the park warden once, and they said you’re allowed to in the backcountry, just not frontcountry (or else all campsites would be bare lol).
Hey, we used plastic worms with a built in hook and jig head (with an eye). We found those were better than other bait. Be sure to bring a few different types because one of us caught zero fish, and the other 4 lol. It must have been the different bait

Hey, we rented a Keewaydin 17 from Swift Canoe in Waubaushene, ON. It was a good size for the 3 of us. They also rent a 18.6ft one so we would probably go with that next time (mainly for the increased weight capacity). Happy paddling!

What canoe was that ? I made out that it was a Scott but couldn’t tell the model. How did it for 3 people with the 3rd seat? Too small?
