Hello, thanks for the reactions. 💜 Borahae Just wanted to say that when u react to Interlude:shadow, remember that the music video doesn't have the full song. (it's criminal really, my fav part of the song was cut😭)
Fun fact: RM said in a live that after the Map Of The Soul: Persona they were actually supposed to separately release two more albums: Map Of The Soul: Shadow and Map Of The Soul: Ego, but they had some problems with the schedule and couldn’t release it that way. However, if you listen to the sounds and lyrics of the songs in MOTS: 7 album you can clearly see how it has three different sides (persona, shadow and ego). I believe that Black Swan was supposed to be the title track of the Map Of The Soul: Shadow album, including songs Interlude:Shadow, My Time, Filter, Louder than bombs, UGH and Respect and Map Of The Soul: Ego album was supposed to have ON as a title track, and include songs Outro:Ego, Moon, Inner Child, We are Bulletproof:The Eternal, Zero O’Clock and Friends.
Hobi was the main composer and writer on the Song, his Dad is a Ligature Teacher, Hobi also using a lot of books and Mythology References on his own Songs on his Mixtape, but a lot of people missed them out so ARMY Nerds had a lot of Easter Eggs. Also Check Out 1Verse by J Hope.
Bookish Theories is one of my favorite channels! I love her Black Swan video a lot! I agree, I wish more bands took care to invest in their art. I really only see rock bands do this and not even many these days more like NIN, Tool/A Perfect Circle, Deftones. Some bands do “concepts” or characters but they don’t go any deeper than that, which makes it feel kind of shallow. The nice thing though about BTS is music is that can be enjoyed on a surface level too, but it’s rewarding to be their fan when you can dig deeper. Plus honestly they really can help you reflect on yourself, in your own life, dreams, goals, fears etc. too which is very personally rewarding!
If you like Rock bands with a cool art style and stories in their albums try Avatar, their Feathers and Flesh album is great. It is the story of an owl who goes to war against an eagle after the eagle threatens to bring the day and end the owl's reign.
Not only are the explanations by Bookish Theories very informative, but I love the humor injected throughout...so Stream Epiphany...! 😂 Love how you get absorbed into what you're watching...thats how I know how much you really enjoyed it 💖
Can I just say that there is no coincidence in the structure of the tracks in the full Map of the Soul: 7 album (persona is only the first half).... just bear in mind that Dionysus is followed directly by Shadow and Black Swan!!! Something to remember as you delve into those songs in the future. They go from revelry in their art to.... 😉
Mind blown!🤯🤯My first time watching this Bookish Theories video too. My reaction was the same as yours when she mentioned RM's shadow in a cage in Boy in Luv. Honestly my mind is blown with the amount of detail in anything BTS related but also how other ARMY'S like Bookish Theories manage to pick up on all these details. I mean the way she explained and connected Abraxis as well - its amazing work 👏I've been subscribed to Bookish Theories for a while but havent watched enough of her videos. I loved all your Dionysis videos - knew you'd love the song! 😁
I never watched this video before but I really agreed with it, it was very good. 7 also consists of shadow and ego so she was right about Dionysus being the connection between Persona and Shadow (and when you listen to Dionysus -> Shadow -> Black Swan the connection is quite blatant).
sub stories within stories you got it right :) if you watch other bookish theories videos for other songs of bts you will get a deeper understanding that you were not aware of before. have a great day
💜 Baby ARMY ! 💜 YAY! 💜 I love Bookish Theories she is amazing 💜 and I love your reaction 💜 Shadow is one of my all time favorites 💜 I look forward to your reaction 💜
I will be watching this later. I'm still at work now. 😂 Although you may want to check the new MV produced by SUGA too. It premiered a few hours ago so it's super fresh but already trending and #1 on US itunes. "That That" by PSY, produced and featuring SUGA. Enjoy! And I promise I will watch this later after work. 😂
I only want to say that not evey songs from Map of the soul: Persona are on Map of the soul: 7. I say this bc you said that right now this song is your favorite. For me this song is favorite from Persona album but not MOTS7, honestly it is around 10 place for '7' album... Dionysus is on both albums but I always think about it as MOTS:Persona song. 😉 You could look it up or ask person that helps you with content but if I remember correctly "HOME" and "Mikrokosmos" are only on Persona album. It is true that everything have meaning ahh they really give as food for thoughts...
Thank you very much for uploading this video, which is very interesting and well explained!! "Map of the Soul" is conceptually a gigantic work of BTS, and in my opinion I don't think anything was left to chance. I think that since it was a work on Jungian psychology, and its archetypes, the message is deeper than we think, and perhaps our collective unconscious recognizes it as its own. Continuing "Persona" the album Map of the Soul 7 comes out and there work the archetype "Shadow and "Ego" The video "Ego" by J Hope is a masterpiece with the entire Jungian concept of the Ego archetype. And obviously Black Swan is another work of art on the shadow archetype.(I hope it is understood because I am a Spanish speaker) Thank you for your reactions!
Jimin released his 1st OST for a kdrama (24 april) in collaboration with his friend Ha Sungwoon. The name is "With You" from kdrama "Our Blues". This song is a masterpiece, breaking world records within 5 hours that was previously held by BTS' Dynamite (8 hours) for 100 #1 on itunes. Long story short... Can you please react to it 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Please Please Please You can pick any color coded lyric video. The song is mostly in English. And it's melody is so soothing. The song is like a Good Night hug. It has a hint of sadness in it, but the song itself feels like a warm hug or a warm blanket on a cold night. Can you please react to the song next.
Yeah, I dove into the BU like a non swimmer dives into the deep end. I watched, consecutively, three videos that were connected to each other and literally got a headache, my head was spinning so much. I’ve learned that with the BU one needs to take baby steps 😅. I’ve stepped away from it and now consume in little pieces like the nuggets that were brought up during this Dionysus explanation 😂
@@ericasvargas You’re right. I just feel it was too much for me in one sitting lol Next time I’ll go back and just watch one video at a time and take a break in between. A second look might help me understand a little better.
Hey Bryan, I hope you'll react to BTS cyphers performed by the BTS rap line. BTS have 4 cyphers and they were all made in response to their haters who had pulled them down whilst they were trying to succeed their dreams. Lyrically in the cyphers, the rapline tend to quote the words their haters used to put them down. Cyphers are often considered as 'flex' songs, because BTS use them as a way to show their haters that they have made it and no matter how much hate they got they still continued with what they love. There's a live performance (with English subs) where J-Hope does cypher 1 , Suga does cypher 2 , RM does cypher 3 and all three of them does cypher 4 at the end. You could maybe react to the 4 cyphers separately and then do the live performance later on.

Wow. That makes sense 👀
I agree with you ella a lot of us think this
Wait, doesn't that mean BTS are giving ARMY's mercy cause they just put 3 albums in one Albums so they won't lose much money?
