    Came here right after receiving my TOEFL scores, just to thank you for the wonderful resources you provide for free! I got a 119/120 (30 R 30 L 30 S 29 W).       @9999ssjvegeta if you could share ur materials, how did u prepare for it ,I'm actually a sophomore student in college of languages ,my major is English translation , I'm not gonna do the test you know ,but I wanted to improve my english , do you think prepare for toefl will improve my english , cuz I am sick of learning english randomly in general ,I thought if I am stick to a teofl I will be more organized what do you think

      Probably over the next two months. The videos from 2019 are fine, though. You can just use them.

    Thank you for this valuable video. I was wondering about paired choices whether we can choose one side and talk about other side, or are we allowed to talk about the drawbacks of the other side somewhere when we are talking about the plus points of our choice.

      Both are fine. You have a lot of flexibility in this task. The main thing is to focus on proper language use and delivery.

    Thank you so much! One question: doesn't it affect the score negatively when only one reason is given? I've always encouraged everyone to give 2 reasons, but it appears that isn't too necessary.

    Hi Michel! Thank you so much! I was extremely worried for speaking part in TOEFL but your videos turned out to be of tremendous help. I scored a 28 in speaking and a 25 in writing! However, I was surprised to see a 21 in listening section. I had been scoring really well in listening practice tests and I thought I did well in actual test too. How do I find out my weak link in listening?

      You should take some practice tests and see which question types you mess up on. Use official materials for the best results.

      The sample answers in all of the videos are meant to represent very high scoring responses. Just keep that in mind. You don't need to speak this much unless you need 30 points. Just do the best you can.

    I have a question about the test.
    I heard some people saying that the ETS volumes or/and ETS Official Guide book and CD's tests are easier than the main test which we take in test centers, is this right ?
    They say that ETS does this to attract students to take the test.
    Please answer this question, because I want to practice more.

    Is there a specific reason why you didn't use the word "comprehensive" in the example of the preference question like you did last year ?

      No reason. The samples were too long last year, so I shortened them a bit.

    What I struggle with is finding what to say. I know the template, I have the vocabulary, but I just don't know what to say. I cannot think of reasons AND examples in just 15 seconds, specially with topics that I don't care about or haven't thought about. What do you recommend to improve this?

    As a student who was born and grown up only in Japan with no international backgrounds it’s quit difficult even just to change the statement from “teachers should assign ....’ to ‘children should be given...’.Omg... 😂😭 still trying to learn though...

      Don't get too fixated on paraphrasing the question. That is just a tiny little part of your overall answer.

      That's a pretty big question. I guess the best way is to simply practice. Use the language. Talk to people.
