Using the Pro-Q 3 Dynamic band function you can do the EQ masking technique and have it being “sidechained” from the clap! I always do this on my mixes, that way you dont lose anything from your kick when it plays w/o the clap :)
Zetta ima try that!
Bro my mixing improved instantly, thank you so much. Your live streams are fun and educational as well.
Bro I’ve been listening to your music for years and am always blown away with the mixing, mastering & sound design behind your tunes - you’re a staple in the bass music scene and we’re all super lucky to have you sharing your knowledge with us! Look forward to your channel growing and seeing more content from you!
Holy fuck this information is great.
1:41 good thing i‘m 23 years old
Ha!
You have the best way of explaining things in depth. It’s very rare that people go as deep as you do
Is it a typical riddim track?
yes. thanks for the tutorial ❤️
Congrats for 5K
Could U make a song like a Blue Print??,its so pretty one
Few questions:
Should I cut every sound 20hz?
Should I low pass everything except the sub?
And few stupid questions:
Why not put a low pass 20hz on the master? And why doesn't the daw cut them automatically if no one uses that area of frequencys?
Morta Della 48000 or higher sample rate which is typically sounds for movies requires to have more range and are appropriate to have those low frequency. We make music that dosnt go lower then what movies do, hence why making room is important in music via subtracting. Yes you can cut in master.
Woop Woop 5k!!! keep going bro
The ending... LOL. But great video dude! Learned a lot!
Never thought of multi band sidechaing! Definitely trying this since I have shaper box but haven't used it in a long time!
Hi mate ! Congrats, you diserve way more !
Damn lets get this channel to 10k so we can get another video like this

Hay cosas que tuve que aprender solo, ya lanze unas cuantas pistas, porque es lo que me encanta hacer en mi tiempo libre, aun así, esto me sirve mucho a mi como pequeño artista local
Saludos papi Ozi 👌🏽😎

THANK. YOU.
Holy shit, the sidechain trick was smart as hell
Wo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0!!!
Nice technique for sidechaining surgically.
Question: Do you enable oversampling for your EQ8s?
yes, but it will eat up your CPU. so it depends on how powerful your computer is.
@@DrOziOfficial Nice :) thanks mang! trying to get in the habit of freezing and flattening more anyways lol
Is that song out by now?
Jesus that sidechain was 🥼🔪🔪
dude your voice sounds like blackbear, so sick
not at all!
The highpassing at 20-30hz im always unsure about, we're always told to do it, it sort of makes sense, but I've A/B'd doing it a million times and there is never an audible difference on the sound or the master nor have I ever been able to find a video demonstrating the difference audibly. I kinda feel I need to hear the difference to believe it. All i ever notice is the filter slope creates a higher peak due to phase changes it causes
Most of the playback devices won't be able to produce that low frequencies, or atleast they are barely able to. Theoretically there shouldn't be any audible freq boost on the cutoff point. Also theoretically if these frequencies exist in your track, they only take 'space' from other more audible frequencies and should have an impact when it comes to the mastering track.
Bit late, but the reason we have to cut below 20Hz is that computers sort of record those frequencies as well. Once you try to master it with all those frequencies still in the track, you might end up having your final master being quieter. It interferes with the overall perceivable volume on the mix.
You will feel the difference when playing on a club system or rig.
bro why are you using 0db cut in pro q3, the bass phases when you have that extreme of a slope. id only use that option for sound design but definately not to mix subs.
Kareem Bin Azeem I know and I agree
0:25 but nix My mom Doesn't Produce 😂😂😂😂
Dude got a copyright claim from his own song 😂
I just checked. i didn't :0
Congrats on 5k!!
