Worth
It was a great arc, after all Doflamingo was the villain, but it was too long indeed
Some parts were very stretched, even very long recaps were being used to stretch the episodes to fit half a chapter
@@W_Junior Idk, i watched that arc on "One Pace" and even on that way i got bored on some parts (mostly some parts of Soldier-San and Rebecca), whole cake was "easier" to watch
relatable i did this in summer
That arc is ridiculous. I still never finished it
The fact that dressrosa takes almost 48h when it shows events that effectively happened in a single day is crazy
It's like Namek being about to explode within 5 minutes in 20 episodes
If you cut out the scenes where you see the birdcage getting smaller and smaller, you can cut out 20 hours directly...
@@kevins2609 no way

one pace is the way to go, makes it a top tier arc in the show. i hate how badly the anime butchered the pacing with that arc
Funny how dressrosa is longer than the time they actually were in dresrosa
Maybe you watching one pace😂😂😂😂😂😂😂jk you’re right
dressrosa and wano were unnecessarily stretched too much
@@seemapatil3029Dressrosa I agree, Wano not really honestly. Wano was a big moment for the characters and story

@@hugobruno6110No.
I feel like some arcs should be called sagas and divided into smaller arcs. Like Dressrosa has them arriving, joining the tournament, fighting… Wano you have the whole Work camp arc…
Wano should have been 30 hours maximum
It’s impressive how they stretched the animation to make it pass 70
At this point I won’t be even surprised if egghead gets to 100 hours.
@@IRON_KING_KNIGHTi think wano had good pacing. This comes from someone who've read the manga. Sure, it could have been shortened a bit, but most episodes are packed with info. I think the most boring arcs due to length are post-war (amazing in manga) and zou

I was just about to count how many days all of the arc watch time combine but he already told how many days what a legend for saving my time🔥
If you watch the intro and recap on every episode then yes the list is accurate, if not it’s pretty far off the actual time, Dressrosa is only about 37 hours instead of 47
And if you have free time for the whole day to watch anime, skip lunch them you can Speedrun it, I personally took 6 days.
1.15x speed skip intro and outro, after I wake up eat breakfast while watching skip lunch eat dinner while still watching and lay in bed while watching until your sleepy and then repeat the cycle. 1 week of summer Im caught up

Watching Wano is like watching 6+ seasons of an anime with 25 episodes per season xDddd
Yeah I'm one of those unfortunate souls that only heard about One Piece when Netflix announced they were doing a live action. I knew I wouldn't be able to buy and read the whole manga (too much of a financial commitment) so I just binged the anime in a month. Downside, I'm now stuck with everyone else watching weekly episodes and it's killing me. I expected it to take me longer to catch up on like 20 years of content but nope, show was to addictive to pace myself.
A month? Did you do literally nothing else in your waking hours?
@@tomfurey9062 Pretty much. It was summer break. I also don't watch intro, outros, or recaps. So the episodes end up only being about 16-18 minutes.
@@stephwiller9089 fair enough, I tend to watch stuff like that too. It really does speed things up.
@@stephwiller9089im surprised you didn’t get burnt out along the way. I took a two month break after bingeing Dressrosa in just a few days
@@molduga I almost lost the will during Alabasta. Seems to be an unpopular opinion but I found it very drawn out and never really cared about Vivi. The other ones though I thought had a much better pace. Especially once they got to Sabody and met everyone else and things seemed to get bigger it got super addictive. I also had people that were ahead of me getting me excited for things that were coming up so I was trying to catch up with them, it kept me motivated. And I'm just someone that needs to finish the things they start whether its a movie, show or book series.
Bro, Skypiea were the longest 17 hours of my life (with the ruluka island filler saga)

Funny enough is that, despite certain arc takes several hours, if not days, to complete, in universe many of these arcs tend to take less time than what we see. I still remember the time during the Alabasta Arc when an explosion was about to go off, of which Crocodile said that the explosion would go off in a matter of minutes. And yet, those few short minutes ended up lasting a number of episodes before the explosion was supposed to go off.
I think the Egghead arc will last 48 chapters, that is, 50 or more anime chapters, more than 18 hours.
Message from the future
How things are going now we have 50 manga chapters from 1061 until now 24.03.06 Chapter 1109
I don't think Eagghead will end anytime soon, as they were currently adapting almost one manga episode per anime episode (except for the last 2 pages of the manga that are added to the next Episode )
I don't know, I think maybe we have 10 more Chapters of Eagghead or more.
Maybe the arc ends on this date 24.06.17 in Japan
That in the anime would be around 50 to 60 episodes It would be more than 1100 hours or 47 days or more
I would be finishing the arc some week in 2025
wano is 40 episodes more than manga chapters. 22% more. so more likely 60 episodes. that's not including fillers, which in wano are like 5/6. that'll make it around 65 episodes.
I'd say around 24hs if we count each ep as 23 mins
so Egghead anime should be ending around june - july 2025

"OMG 1000 episodes how the hekk am i gonna watch all of them ?? it will take forever" when it will only take you 18 days to watch them all.

Skypia was actually dope fish man island felt like 20 years! 😩 worst arc ever!
My first time watching One Piece: watching episodes at twice the speed.

Tbh some people say that the Dressrosa arc is bad because of how long it is, but does the length of it really matter? As long as it has a good story, I could care less.
Excluding the OPS and endings, there was 5-8 minutes of recap per episode, during the rest of the episodes everything was dragged out 5x longer than it could have been (yes I understand most post time skip does this, but it was exceptionally bad here) and they showed Rebecca's flashback like every few episodes.
At least with WCI and Wano, even if things felt like they were going slow, things were still happening and progressing for the most part. Dressrosa felt like all progression just stops for multiple episodes at a time
The only critique I have for Dressrosa is the pacing. Other than that, it's essentially a perfect Onepiece Arc.
Down to it's storytelling, emotion, characters and reveals.. And of course.. Doflamingo is still to this day not only the greatest Onepiece villain but one of THE best Anime antagonists of all time.
Pacing is just horse shet for the whole New World.
0.8 chapters per episode is just not good enough. It ruins literal every epic moment. Everything is dragged to shit.
Examples: Kaidos first clash with Luffy. Luffy got fucking Blitzkrieged in the Manga. In the Anime they managed to dragged it out and it was way less impactful. Same shit final clash between Luffy and Doflamingo. The King Kong Gun fucked Mingo instantly into the ground, no 10 mimutes of stupid flashes and struggling.
Btw during Arabasta it was like 1.8 chapter per episode. So much better.
Dresrosa saga was onepiece at it worst. The pacing was atrocious, the artwork was less than stellar. Thanks God everything picked up once they reached wano.
The second half and especially the last third of the arc had really bad pacing
In my opinion
,whole cake island and drum island arcs have the saddest backstories.

What arc are you on rn?
I'm caught up fully
What are ur thoughts in it so far? What questions do u have?
Nearly 48 hours to watch dressrosa and yet it still feels shorter than both long ring long land and thriller bark
Exactly thriller BARK was the biggest drag of all time
For dresserosa - one pace (fan paced one piece) has just 48 ep with 30 min averege episode time. Give 2.5 min for opening. So dressosa becomes a one day thing.
I started Punk Hazard last Tuesday, and I'm about finished with the arc
After dressrossa Zou felt so short, but it’s almost 12h… and Wano is overkill…
Wano is so long thanks to the fact that the Manga was being pushed out at a reduced rate. Despite it being the final saga Oda says it might take 5 years though really it might be 8 or more... which is more reasonable even if he tries to push forward as fast as he can for the ending the man is literally almost 50 right now.
Imagin adding all them up
I’m on fishman island…trying to watch this has kind of burnt me out. I watched drum island in a single sitting on a Saturday years ago
Its almost 9 months and im still catching up lol
It’s been 5 months for me so far I’m currently at the thriller back arc rn I’m taking my time with One piece it’s all about the Journey and I have been loving one piece ❤ it’s such an amazing anime once u get into it my favorite arcs so far is Alabasta water 7 and Enies Lobby
Onen Pace cuts it to 8.17 days. 10 days of filler and extended scenes which serves no purpose to the main story or world building is CRAZY.

I usually skip intro and outro except few times coz I love some openings and endings. So it took me 2 and half months....coz I'm full time watcher 😅 since then I'm waiting for every week's episodes. And I regret completing so fast lol. I re-watched many times without fillers. So I suggest everyone to watch slowly without rush. Just enjoy it.
I do not believe that I have spent TWENTY HOURS watching fishman island the last TWO DAYS.
I remember watching dressrosa weekly... I guess now I know why it felt so long. That one damn scene of the colloseum crowd is burned into my mind, they must've used that so many times. I love one piece, but don't watch it weekly anymore.

I wish there was a supercut of one piece without all the repeats and with all the overstretched scenes tightened up. That would be fun to rewatch and easy to recommend to people. As it is, soon as the anime cought up with the manga it started to drag, half the epidsode is repeat of the last one and the flashbacks and other filler
Not sure how good it is but I heard one pace is what you re describing
Catching up at my own pace might take me half a year, but by the time I do the English dub of the Egghead arc would be ready. 😊
I finished Amazon Lily last night in one night and I didn’t realise it was 5 hours lol
Currently on Enies lobby /CP9. They are long but at least in these one I'm watching there are at least 10 filler episodes made only of recaps. Ocean's dream was also a recap which took longer than they should.
3 days in wano is wild
I'm on skypia and I've been on my bed for almost 3 days😂
I watched about 30-40 episodes of dressrosa before I got too annoyed with the pacing and just read the rest of the arc(I watched the episodes with Luffy g4 but that was it otherwise)
I’d recommend to anyone watching try reading your fav arc and just compare the pacing to see if u might like reading but either way enjoy your one piece journey regardless how you consume it
Just finished watching up to current day from the beginning. Took me 7 months, and now watching this puts it into perspective how much time I spent watching One Piece😂
Wci and dressrosa didn’t feel nearly as long as they are but wano felt never ending I think it’s because I caught up to one piece in wano actually exactly on episode 1000 so I had to wait a week for one ep but still that arc was way to long and it took the joy out of it for me

Watching one piece is one of the times. I complain why our body can't we endure 20 days of continuous anime binge watching.
I started watching OP in like 2009 when there was only 400 episodes and I caught to ongoing in 2 weeks
The only reason the arcs are so long post timeskip is bc the pacing in the anime adaptation is so bad. Most arcs could honestly be way trimmed down.

Here’s a fun fact that’ll make you hate everything: the run time of Dressrosa is longer than the actual real-time events of the arc. Everything in the Dressrosa arc happens over the course of approximately 24hrs.
