Owners of the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition or the Year 1 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass of Street Fighter 6 will obtain Ed when he releases on February 27.

What I like about Ed's Boxing style is that he uses the Psycho power as a means of compensating the limited range Boxers have.
Probably to compensate his punching rather than kicking
It's the kind of thing that lets him stand out from Balrog and Dudley. I know for an SF game idea I've had, I'd thought of Mike, the first boxer in Street Fighter from way back in Street Fighter 1, would use a projectile as a move to give him some different range from Balrog and Dudley, yet he wouldn't have the kind of range Ed can have with his Psycho Power.
I won't say Dash Straight and Final Tap had limited range at all. But Ed compensate for himself.
@@almiser Dash Straight, Dash Upper, Dash Low Straight, Dash Swing Blow, Dash Low Smash, and Turn Punch did give Balrog some forward mobility in some sitches, even if he was more or less about just power in his blows.

I was a boxer for 10 years and today at my 32 I retired, apart from the game and his performance, it is very noticeable and the dedication to show the style of the sport is appreciated, thank you for the seriousness and respect for boxing

@@wyndelion4437, when Ed was revealed in Street Fighter 5 his design and weird inputs turned off a lot of people to his character. I didn't mean that the character was bad by any stretch of the imagination in fact I think he was really fun to play but his Street Fighter 5 design was a major turnoff for a lot of people
I never hated Ed in sf5 ... but this man got a massive glow up!

Not really. Announcements like this are almost at around this time on Thursdays. With Tuesdays being also somewhat likely. They almost never do them any other time of day, or any other weekdays.

Theme song is great both with lyrics and without but I actually prefer the instrumental one, as it's just like the songs I use for when I'm actually boxing and going into training.
Hopefully Capcom gives us a choice between instrumental and vocal
even more so without the lyrics. (it’s still amazing with lyrics. but i prefer the instrumental versions)

They incorporated Boxing so well, when hes done his combos he move his head, the pivots, and the flicker jab is REALLY a thing while in half-man/philly shell. 10/10🔥

I love how that intro tells us he's still cocky as ever, but a bit more respectful to rules and his opponent.
Then he turns them into a punching bag, funniest shit I ever seen.
@MrGlitch1323 Ed is 6,0 flat, and 190 pounds. It said so on the Playstation blog, which can be seen on Maximilian's and other videos reacting to Ed's Gameplay.

I really really love Ed’s idle/stance animations after he lands some punches. Those different small bob and weaves give him so much personality, you can really feel his strive to be the best in his league. (Also I don’t know why I didn’t notice this until now but he has a very similar idle standing animation as M. Bison)

@@2Good2BeTrue45 Yeah, and I hope this instrumental version is similar to the Teaser Trailer version in particular where the guitar and synths are more prominent.
They are toned down in here and in the vocal version to make room for the vocals after all.
Ed feels like a modern version of Roseman from fighting games in the Hiryu no Ken series. He's one of the earliest boxers in fighting games to have a projectile.

Psycho spark looks like it’s gonna replace it, seems very easy to buffer into since it’s so safe.

Honestly looks like a mix of Bison and Balrog with a bit of Cammy, for some reason

His stance more resembles the Philly Shell.
For reference check out boxers like used Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns, Floyd Mayweather, or in anime, Mashiba Ryo where its called the Hitman Stance after Hearns.
Ryo's stance and Hearns' stances are actually called the Hitman Stance. The one who actually uses the Philly shell would be Miyata and also Kumura if I remember correctly. @@GerardoSantana

Ed's a cool character. The gameplay for him, character design, and theme music are all good and I love when he threatens to punch a hole through someone, it's pretty funny.

@@joseangelcanalesgarcia560 even though they would be similar in terms of fighting, I think dudelys clean and sharp way of fighting would translate like fine wine on sf6, and I think both of them could exist together in this game, could you imagine an ed vs dudely? "Who's the better boxer" type situations would be dope

A lot of Tekken animations are legacy ones, reused data from previous games. Each SF game has all new mocap data and animation for every attack

We know for sure that psycho spark is qcf+p, with 6p as follow up, psycho upper is dp motion + p, psycho blitz is qcb+p, and psycho flicker is qcf+k, I think. It might also be qcb+k

If Psycho flicker can counter drive rush, Ed gonna be amazing. You can respond with the grab or back dash with the blitz and it's an OS since you got 3 options off of the hold and it's safe on block.
It's not an OS, an option select is not just you having options to beat things. You'd have to check to know that there's an OS, an OS is a combination of inputs that will automatically chose the right move in a given situation.

An option select is a combination of inputs that automatically selects the correct move in a given situation, keyword being automatically.
You being able to choose what to do depending on what the opponent does is not an option select.
If you could input the move a certain way that gave you either snatcher if the opponent stayed away or backed away automatically when the opponent attacked this would be an option select.
What you are describing is just having options, not an OS

I like that Ed has moves kinda inspired by Mashiba from Hajime No Ippo (who is inspired by Tommy Hearns irl).
Now this guy looks fun
I love his theme with or with out the lyrics but in honesty I prefer non lyrics to especially not distract us from fighting. If an option happens if we can turn it on or off that be even better.
