I have oval jbl car speakers . The decibel switch on those speakers has stopped working. Keeping it in on or off position does not increase or decrease the decibel which it did earlier. Any idea how it can be repaired.

I have done thousands of speaker repairs before now and will continue to do so.
Although the setting of the voice coil is according to the frequency, but most of the coil is kept in the center.

I have a hertz 3-way 6x9 speaker, the tweeter and mid speaker work but the big cone doesn't move. Anyone know what the fault might be? There are resisters or something on the wires, I wondered if one of those died and if it could be replaced, or if they're was another reason..? Many thanks
