My big salute to all of them...

you don't get it. when Teressa sang a song she made it her own... she owned that song from that point forward. 40 years ago she showed up in Japan, sang in Japanese and owned Japan.. same with Hong Kong, same everywhere she went. She was the most powerful womens vocalist ever. Today when kids cover her stuff they will be compared.. rightly so, and maybe someday another angel will sing and we will all be in awe of this new talent... until then comparison is fine.
