In mourning outside the bushcraft world as well..... Yes , blink of an eye . We need to live with no regrets and embrace those who bring meaning to us and reach out. Remember our blessings.
I have friends that often give me a hard time because I spend so much time alone in the mountains. I'm 71, and they say I'm too old. Maybe I am. Each time I go out, I know that could be the last trip. So, as odd as this may sound, that pushes me to make "one more trip", because tomorrow is not a promise. I was surprised to learn that you and Ric did not know each other personally. To watch one of you, is just like watching the other. You were definitely kindred spirits. Be well. God speed. Roger
My thoughts are with Ric’s family and friends, he was a such a massive inspiration to me along with you! I couldn’t believe the news when I first heard. Been watching both you and Ric for so long, I’m still struggling to get my head round it. Great video as always, can’t wait for the next
Swedish I love you so much and I'm from home And I love nature and your beautiful atmosphere that relaxes the mind a I want to tell you that I can't sleep unless I watch a video from your page and I'm on the sound of fire and the sound of air. And I love the way delicious food works. I love you, Swedish

2022 started very sad with the news of Ric's passing! You two have inspired people around the world to respect and love nature. This winter we'll keep the tent warm and the fire high, I think that's what Ric's spirit wants. Stay safe friend! My thoughts and condolences to his family, friends and those who were inspired by him! In memory of Ric Nagualero!

Your videos have brought me both peace and motivation and I just really hope that you realize that taking us folks on your adventures is an awesome thing . We have to do the things we love and look after each other . Stay safe and be well
A fitting tribute. It was heartbreaking to hear the news that Ric Nagualero had passed away. He will always be an Ambassador of Bushcraft and his films, like yours will continue to educate, encourage and inspire those of us who share his passion. RIP Ric Nagualero, Gone but not forgotten, wandering but never lost.
RIP to Ric and heartfelt condolences to Lisa. He was a great inspiration to all who watched his videos. The cold and lonely desolation of this outing was a fitting tribute. I wouldn't have made it through the night with such a minimal shelter and small fire. Watch your your health brother !
Human nature is cool. When man was living in forests then he tried to invent new things which make his life easier but when man get all the amenities, now it is moving towards jungle. Human being, you are great. 👍😁
My thoughts and condolences go out to all effected by Ric's passing. A wonderful man and a great loss to everyone. My heart goes out to his wife Lisa and family. Ty for a wonderful video ❤
Thanks Swede , You & Ric have both been an inspiration to me. Although I'm much older, the two of you have kept reminding me to keep it basic & simple. I look for the simplicity & beauty of the woods & treasure my time there. As age brings its restrictions I have learned that I must rebel against giving in & remember that life not being lived is life wasted Even at 81 I'm still most alive in the bush or paddling a canoe. We will both miss Ric but we will remember what we have learned from him. Thanks for a great video & stay safe there are still too many lakes to paddle & too many camps to rest in. Brian 81
Way to go Mr. Spenser. I can say that because I am 62 and I show respect to my elders :) I too still go into the bush as often as I ca get away. My folks are in their 90"s, so I may catch you buddy. God bless.
Yes it was very sad news about Ric, he will be greatly missed. Thank you for another great video Swedwoods, and you can be confident that whatever you decide to do, you'll have our support as your loyal viewers! 🙂
My hat off to you if you manage to post regularly such a good and interesting content, under the circumstances you describe. Let Ric rest in heaven's woods - both his and your channels are among the first choices from all my subscriptions - many thanks for everything
Sorry for our loss. Did not know his name, but will look at his videos. Its easy to judge yourself when life takes a turn, but dont be to hard on yourself. The only thing we can do is to let situations like these inspire us to do the things we can while still around. Its easy to forget that life is ending in our everyday life, that the clock is ticking. You only have an amount of energy each day and with work/children its drained quickly. Love your videos and they have been a great inspiration to me, going out in the nature. Hats off!
Man I wanted some pasta after watching this, enjoyed it very much. And Nagualero will certainly be missed. He was so talented. we enjoyed his adventures very much, God bless...
Mr. Swede, such a nice tribute for a fellow bushcrafter, you are a Class Act. Thank you for doing what you do it helps me keep my serenity, God bless and stay safe
I'm sorry for your loss of a fellow bushcrafter. Listen to the disturbance in your soul that the news of his death brings and make the changes that you want to make, but don't be too hard on yourself for your previous choices. We do the best that we can in the moment. Take care.
Oh no!!! I just loved his videos and now he passed away :( I will keep watching your videos and remembering everytime in my hikes. Goodbye from Guatemala 🇬🇹

So wonderful as usual, Swedwood! You've inspired me to up my Winter game and so this weekend I went for an overnighter here in the Cascades and enjoyed a 5 mile hike and camp into the snowy mountians. Thank you for the tips and inspiration. And when I got home I saw a video from you waiting for me with the master himself at his camp! Thank you so much as I cannot imagine making such wonderful videos in these environments. They are not just instructional but works of cinematic art as well. Others try but you are truly the best.
Sad to see Ric go but happy for him for the life he had. Agreed, life is too short to wait for things to happen, you can't guarantee the outcome but you can regret not trying. Whatever change you do, be safe, be kind and stay healthy.

You and Ric N. have the best videos on UA-cam. Pieces of art to enjoy, maybe learn a thing or two but mostly to just be transported temporarily to your beautiful woods. Sounds like you're a busy guy, thanks for being able to make these videos for us. I've said for years Do it today, you might be dead tomorrow. To which I'll add if there is someone you love, TELL THEM because you never know when the last time might be. 50 is so very young these days, so sad. Another great video, and as always some killer food! Thanks!
Beautifully done with such respect and appreciation for all that his loved ones are mourning, and that the UA-cam bushcraft community is coming to terms with passing. Horribly sad times but solace is found in nature... Thank you.

I also started my own hiking channel as I am outdoors with my dog all the time, so I gave it a chance to document our adventures. Thank you very much for inspiring and motivating me. Sad to see you sad. I have never watched Ric's channel, but will seek it out now. And as for your lesson, 'Never wait for stuff', I have followed a similar philosophy since I was a young man. "Never postpone happiness". No person, on their deathbed, says they wish they had spent one more long night at work, or attended one more staff meeting. I quit being a lawyer when I was 25, because the money did nothing to fulfill me as a person. The only constant in life is change, you can try to keep up and ride it like a wave, or you can let the wave break over you and drown. Glad to see you are a rider. Whatever you do, know that for the past few years, you have brightened days and calmed jangled nerves for hundreds of thousands of humans you will never meet, and who will never have the pleasure of meeting you. That is a significant accomplishment, and something of which to be rightly proud. Hope you will continue to share your wilderness adventures and allow us to live vicariously through your eyes. Thank you, my friend.
@@Swedwoods LOL! Thoughts I will own, wisdom is merely living through your mistakes, and trying not to repeat them! And I am pretty sure we would be friends, at least from my side, given the chance.
