- Team Ninja returns this March with something different. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action RPG that features several elements from Nioh but distinguishes itself with its setting, combat and pace.
It's out on March 3rd for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC while also releasing day one on Game Pass. Here are 15 things you should know before buying it.
After Nioh games I have no doubt that Wo Long is gonna be AMAZING

@@jinsakai409 All footage of this game seems like they took the Feature out or it never was in the game it just looks a lot less impactful from Nioh because of it. Sad because I like the Romance of The 3 Kingdoms & a Dark Souls like adventure with Nioh's Gore would be a DREAM Game.
@@jayceegenocide4402 it is possible it is out of the demo and marketing material because of how strict some asian countries are about gore. It doesn’t ruin the game i guess but I hope it will be there
@@jinsakai409 it can make a game worse imagine if Elden Ring had that feature it would make all sharp weapons a better experience thus making a better game. Clubs should do crushing damage & blades slicing. Instead in most of these types of games swords are basically clubs especially great swords.
Dynasty Warriors is my favourite gaming series of all times so having a souls type version of it is just class. I wanted a souls of DW for years
I also loved the Nioh games having played all the Samurai Warriors games over the years also

Why is people saying it looks like Nioh like it’s a negative? Nioh Was a good game. Everything that comes out doesn’t have to redefine the genre. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
People like easy games like assassin's Creed and elder scrolls. They don't want anything with a learning curve. It's the same with dark souls, even after Elden Rings popularity it hasn't changed.

What I don't like about it so far my own opinion here is the fact that their color choice looks like a ps3 gen game

You do know these are the same people who made the old Ninja Gaiden games on ps3 & xbox 360 !? I think they have their formula well in hand.
i played the demo, its not like nioh at all tbh. its more sekiro
Niho has a special place in my heart and I'm glad this game took its precursors from that, to me that is a positive in every way. Cannot wait to play
same it makes me wanna get the game even more

Anything more about the loot system would have been nice. Was kind of the heart of Niohs endgame and what it truly set it apart from being "just another" Souls-like.
almost everything set nioh apart from souls games though, the progression, the loot system, the VERY in depth combat, honestly it was only a souls like in the sense that you lost amrita when dying lol

Is it just me or do you guys feel the same. I can't enjoy games on gamepass, I need to own them, not sure why.
e.g I tried hades and grounded on gamepass, didn't like them. Bought them months later on steam, and played the s*** out fo them.

I love Dynasty Warriors and the Three Kingdoms Era. Fighting Zhang Liang in a different game was a treat. Can't wait to see other prominent characters.
Another demo is coming out on the 24th this month. Also saved data will be transferred to the final game once its out, along with an item.

As an avid gamer that loved souls like games (especially Sekiro!) and Nioh this game completely fell under my radar.

As someone who is actively playing Nioh 2, and sekiro, this game looks AWESOME .
So on beginning Nioh 1, it kicked my ass bad. Didn't know what I was getting myself into but by the end loved it. I gave up on the triplets at the end because I needed to move to other games but I am looking forward to this. Hoping the time slog is a bit less than Nioh was so I can keep making my rounds!

It's not bull shit. Why would a company finish a game and not release it broken when they already have the money. Games didn't used to release broken but you are probably to young to know what a finished and complete game looks like. 🤦

@@supplehands9095 it’s not tho. It’s set in a fantasy China but marketed to Japan because Japan is obsessed with the 3 kingdoms. And he did use a katana because Dynasty Warriors again, had Japanese influence and market in mind.
My most anticipated game so far. Games like souls or nioh is what I like most. The new star wars game is high upon my list.

It's definitely ninja gaiden which either way Sekiro gameplay loop Ripped it straight out of ninja gaiden in the first place.

1:27 I got some serious PTSD of Lu Bu from Dynasty warriors
This is literally Nioh, the movement, dodges, running, even the animations.
Well its made by the same people as nioh, and even elden ring has reused animations which if im right some of those animations have existed since demon souls as theres no point in making new animations for every little thing

I doubt they'll have fists but that would be amazing if they had them, the beyond infinity move was my favorite. Pretty much mastered that weapon 👌

Kinda sad that they dont have high, mid and low stance. Combat just reminds me of dark souls/sekiro. Regular and heavy attacks and deflect. People that come from Nioh, Dark souls, and Sekiro how are you guys feeling about this game?
Sekiro was L1 Simulator, Wo Long is O Simulator... If you master parry ( O ), easy peasy

This is a day one release on game pass . So no need to buy it if you have an Xbox or a PC.

Fightin Cowboy put it very eloquently in one of his streams not too long ago. If you’re thinking of Wo Long as Nioh you’re off. This is more of their interpration of Sekiro the way the combat mechanics have been designed.
Also, the Chinese pronunciation from streamers is going to be hilariously awful when this comes out. Qing Long = “Ch” ing Long. Bai Hu = “Bye” Hu. Get it together Gaming Bolt!
