That was quite an intense storm you were in. Rainy weather is wonderful, and some wind, but when they get too strong, then it becomes miserable, not to mention too dangerous. Good that you decided to return. Wonderful image with the red berries tree and the river.

Being a dad means that when I got time to go, I got to go 🤣, come hell or high water. And this place is situated in a fairly high altitude, which means the weather changes in a split second. And if you're not ready for it, you could be in for a ride you don't want to be on 🤣. Bear Grylls once visited Norway to film an episode here, He as so many others (tourists) underestimated the climate we got here and the weather got so bad they had to pull the plug on the entire episode. I think you might find it on YT 🤣

Les would light a fire with the D850 battery and maybe build a shelter from the tripod? :)
Nice waterfall spot hopefully you can do some more attempts in more favourable photographic conditions.

Hi. Big applause for your determination. The weather tried to discourage you, but you managed. Norway is a beautiful place for photographers, but why does it rain so often there? :) Greetings from Poland (also rainy...)

Hehe good question. Back in 2015 we had 275 days of rain where I live (Bergen). Bergen is known as the rainiest place in Norway because warm wind from the west hits our tall mountains that our region is known for. The air gets pushed up against the mountains and begins to cool down. This makes the steam condensate and turn into rain. You get used to it 😆. Try searching for Vestlandet on google and you can see the mountains. Most people think of Lofoten when they talk about Norway. But Lofoten is just a tiny place, and I think we have just as beautiful locations here :). Thank you for taking time to leave a comment 🤠
