To be honest, I'm not really sure. But if you join the Nyckelharpa UK facebook group, someone should be able to help. (Make sure you answer the questions or you won't be let in!) facebook.com/groups/nyckelharpauk
Hello, I have been looking for a Moraharpa like this, with two rows of keys. Do you have a recomendation of builders where i can commission one like this?
Hello and thank you for sharing. I have the question that a lot of Moraharpa recordings on UA-cam sound slightly out of tune or a little squeeky on the high notes of the melody string (not yours really). Is that a matter of the instuments' intonation, the bow the strings? I'd greatly appreciate a clue to that. Thank you very much!
here's an evil theory. many people who don't know anything about bowed string instruments want to start nyckelharpa and then they are too cheap to actually get a chromatic one so they think the just get a moraharpa which looks smaller and can be found made by not-so-good-makers for cheap. These people never learn to play well hence the sound.
@@NyckelharpaUK That's the thing, I'm not sure which corresponds to which kind of music! But generelly Swedish folk music, Hedningarna stuff as well as some medieval tunes.
The older versions and the find we have in Sweden have one row yes, pentatonic. Dont remember if the original is in minor or major. But newer versions is chromatic or have two rows, more like a nyckelharpa. Instruments evolve. Don't be close minded.
Прекрасно!!! Где можно увидеть чертежи, скажите пожалуйста?

It's a good question. I have a good quality instrument. So it could be that, or bow technique? A lot goes into tone production with the bow hand.
@@NyckelharpaUK Thank you, so could be a matter of bow technique if the instrument itself is ok. Good to know if I ever get one myself. Best Lars

Is there a reason you chose chromatic rather than diatonic? Been looking into ordering one but I'm not sure which one is for me.
I wanted it to be as versatile as possible. It depends on what you want to play. 😀

Then it sounds like you should go for chromatic!
What kind of strings do you use?
I use Prim viola strings. I have them listed at the bottom of this page: nyckelharpa.me.uk/strings/
@@NyckelharpaUK Thank you so much! I'm planning on building a mora/esseharpa mutant, so thinking of going gut strings to get a warmer sound.
Please tell me how long the instrument is, what is the scale?
Send me an email and I'll send you some measurements. :)
It's curious the way you take the pale
Hello, I don't think that translated very well - what is the 'pale' do you mean the bow?
Maybe this video will help with how I hold the bow... ua-cam.com/video/_DzxkD58iaY/v-deo.html
Yes, sorry so much. I meant the bow!
Hello how are you ? can i use violin strings in moraharpa?
Probably, some viola strings.
Sorry I didn’t spot this question!!! Pieretto is right, Viola strings. :)

Mine has two. :)
