Jon, when hopping a gate you should always hop it where the hinges are for the gate because that is the strongest point on the gate and it gives it a less chance of breaking

U should try fishing in Glidden WI they have a lot of great Lakes right next to each other. They are huge perch,muskie,Northern and a large abundance of striped bass and large mouths

Who else loves the casitas? I've caught 7 pound bass on wacky rigs, little guys on lunkerhunt frogs, giant fluke in the salt and even mahi mahi offshore. For $120 you can't beat it
You hook set sideways and the preferred bait or lure comes out but when you do a upwards side set the hook sticks. My opinion

my cousin works at a striped bass farm and he let's us fish there, they have anywhere from .5 pounders to like 10 pounders. it's like catching fish in a barrel.
