We got close to 3" of rain last weekend here at CB, from the 8th to the 10th dec. Hope you managed to get all the cropping done before all that rain & wind.
That intro was awesome Henry, love the drone footage, there is something very majestic about the green machines at work compared to the red or yellow or any other colours out there. Don’t worry too much about the length, if there is content worth putting into it then you’ll have viewers.
I don’t mind whatever length the videos are mate, I’m just grateful that you make them for us to watch. And if you could ever talk your old man into giving us a bit of history on the farm would would be interesting. Cheers.
I agree that this is another great video Henry. I really enjoy the drone footage that lets us see the big picture of the paddocks & how it all looks to you. I get the impression you may have copped some moisture after you finished filming judging by what blew into Adelaide & Melbourne last weekend.
We took out 61.5mm. Saturday - Monday 21mm, 16.5mm, 24mm. However, we're a bit iffy with the 21mm on Saturday. The neighbours took out 15mm and in the town they took out around 12. Not sure if the kids got the sprinkler too close to the rain gauge, or we got under an isolated shower haha. We're only a couple of km out of town so seems wierd that we got almost 10mm more.
@@lockvalleyfarms981 yeah ok, there were some areas on the other side of Kimba that got over 100mm but they usually get more than everyone else. how long u reckon the rain will hold ya up for?
hey the longer the better i say 😂, thats not a hill your combining on its a small slope , we make silage on a lot steeper that that , really nice crop of wheat there and fantastic quality too , , Gets some IH kit you wont gets many breakdows lol
I agree with Shane. A half hour vid is fine I’m impressed with how positive you are, despite how things have been going. Is the portable bins an Aussie thing? I’ve not seen them used like that elsewhere. You never move them full, do you? Just gives a buffer on shipping?
Yeah, it's definitely an Aussie thing. It's often a very long trip for a farmer to get rid of grain here. It's anywhere from 65-100kms round trip for us to get rid of grain. We can't have trucks sitting in field waiting to be filled. Most farms don't store much on farm because it costs too much for us to build that sort of storage. There is also very little domestic demand for South Aussie grain. An overwhelming % goes direct to Port and gets exported.
The joy you get from your harvest is so inspiring

We've already finished harvest so it was nice to see. But yes, we got 50-60mm. Thanks for watching 👍
Outstanding drone footage!
Mate, I think 25-30 min videos are a good length. Just depends on how much time you want to spend editing.
Grease is wonderful stuff , great content all the same
Glad to see you at work on your farm.
Did you end up getting some rain from the weekend Henry? We got 70-80mm west of Kimba. Love your videos mate, keep it up they are great to watch.

@bobuncle8704 thanks for taking the time to watch 👍
Would you ever think about going controlled traffic in the future
If someone gave me the money I would do it tomorrow haha 😄
Just need a 12m header front? Is the sprayer 36m?
@@lockvalleyfarms981 yeah that’s also a factor in it what would you have to change
Thumbs down, to much music. I hate music videos.
