Hello, Seb, greetings from Galloway in SW Scotland. I've just signed up for the newsletter as I'm just about to pull the trigger on a few bits of hardware and software for a job I'm doing next spring. But your software looks more intuitive than others. I'm a blank canvas with only a little experience of using smaller 'club-sized' lasers via dmx and my next project is a show for a band showcase/label launch. I can already knock out a few bespoke files and load them onto sd cards on some of the small units I have, but I'm currently trying to work out a non-ilda pathway to do it economically with something with a bigger output - possibly with the addition of a Pangolin FB4/dmx module + Enttec usb dmx Pro dac. But that's my problem.....and it's one of the reasons this new generation of software and hardware has captured the imagination.....less time doin' maths and physics and more time being creative. Hi Seb, first congratulation for your project... until today i didnt even know that liberation exist and now i'm a fan!! It really seems that this could be the next generation laser software beacuse is user friendly, robust and comumnity based! Regarding bussines model, if i can share my thoughts, for beeginers like me in LATAM is a little bit difficult to expend 26USD per month,, i'm not saying that the sowftware worth it but limiting the amount of outputs (as you mention on the stream) in combination with one time payment could work. As this projects always depends on community, of course i will be happy to crowfound features or releases As i mention before this is just an idea wit no sense of attack actual patreon system is just to colaborate. There’s a masking system, I actually go into it briefly on the first look demo a couple of videos back.
