Do u have a video on the best way to lock it up at your campground and what's the best lock for it...I know it has a tag but the tag looks very cheap and easy to break....cause people will steal while your gone to get groceries or just to do something fun
The tag is actually pretty good. Of course someone could just cut the wire and be gone… the idea is to make it less desirable than the neighbors 😉. We also tried to obscure the view. Put a bucket in front or something similar to make it less visible from the road. You could hide an air tag on it.. hope this helps!

Yep. The watchdog is fine in the rain. The Autoformer needs to be protected from the rain (that’s a different video)
Just bought a 2021 Rockwood mini lite. Looks like a good investment for my camper. I also have 30 amp service. Can i get by with 30 amp surge protector?
Yes. It’s ideal to match the Amp rating of the surge protector to the Amps of your rig. 😉
Thank you for the informative video. I just received the portable 30 amp model. Have you tried installing the application on a tablet instead of a phone? I have a tablet setup for several other systems, but cannot get the QR reader to work.
Hmmm I’m not sure. It may be your tablet.
Will the surge protector shut the power off from reverse polarity
The watchdog will detect if there is reversed polarity and several other wiring mistakes before sending power to your RV. If you get a error code when you plug it in at the post, you’ll be able to identify what the problem is based on the stamp on the side of the watchdog. On the Power watchdog website, they have a lot of good information /frequently asked questions and videos explaining things further. Hope this helps, Corey

I have been wanting to get one, but not sure if I should get the 30 or 50 amp. If I get the 50 amp can I use the reducer to make it work for the 30 amp if that's all the campground offers. I don't want to have to buy both as that would be expensive.
I double checked on their website and yes, It is compatible with the dog bone reducers. I would go for the 50 amp, this way your covered either way. You won’t be disappointed, it’s awesome. Corey

I don’t think they sell them. You can find them in Amazon or places like camping world. We have one that we bought on Amazon but I’ve not needed it. I hope this helps.

Can I have an adaptor and connect it to 20 amp (House Outlet) using the 30 Amp power watchdog ? So I basically wanted to hookup my camper to my house. Thank you!
Hi Christian! They say it can be used with dog bone adapters but I assume they are referring to 50 amp to 30amp or vice versa. I’m sorry, I really don’t know about adapting to a 20 amp. Another question what do u do if u have a problem while your camping and surge module blows....then u can't use power to ur rig cause u don't have a protection....and have to wait on the part to replace
That’s right. No protection until you replace the module. They sell modules And I believe you could do it yourself. You could always keep one on hand.

Hi Suzanne, Their website says you can use the dog bone type adapters but they recommend matching the correct amp surge protector to your RV amps. They put out this video which may help with your questions. I suggest you email them directly. They have excellent customer service!

Nice overview, just an FYI, with the 30 or 50-amp with (EPO) you don't have to leave the RV unplugged to analyze and then plug the RV into the Power Watchdog, with the EPO units that 4-second delay does that for you. If there was a abnormal power condition it will not send power to the RV. Yes make sure you still turn off the pedstal breaker before plugging in and unplugging the Power Watchdog regardless watch model so there is not an arc-flash. Note: the base models without EPO yes you should keep the RV unplugged to analyze first. Safe Travels.
