If we go by the theory that Mrs. Afton is possessing Ballora then the quote "Admit it, you wanted to let me in" could imply that even after divorcing her and possibly killing her, William still loved her a lot
Good pick up. Though I'm still not entirely sure about the Mrs. Afton theories myself. There isn't nearly as much evidence compared to the other Afton family members.
Or after witnessing his children died she grew worried about her husband's mental health but he never wanted to bring it up so "admit it u wanted to let me in" can also imply that he wanted to let her know about his mentality but never wanted to bring it up
