What... the whole SPS band even told us that we won... and to add to that SPS had time to prepare for the drum line battle bc they had been planning on challenging CHS... and all SPS did that was stunning was that their symbols did a lot of dancing
I was SPS drum captain 05' and 06'. I went to public school until 7th grade. Went straight to snare and taught sps all of the chs cadences I knew to the drum line. Including medicine ( they call it head) I named it medicine to give them a taste of their own......

St. Paul’s did NOT WIN, I’m not sure if it was intentional but they have a lot of Covington High cadences. That Covington has had for years. GREAT job CHS!
All of those are SPS cadences. Almost all bands in St. Tammany have played versions of these cadences at some point. SPS have been playing those since the early 70s. Mr. Mouton got to CHS years later in the mid 80s.
Most of those are St. Pauls' cadences from back in the day. RIP Roy Mouton. He would be proud of both groups.
