Thank you for an enjoyable, informative AND honest video! I'm was thinking of recommending this hike to a nephew and his girlfriend visiting as we'll be spending a night in Geiranger. Based on your review, I would probably recommend the boat alternative. :)
I really can't agree. This is one of the best hikes I ever made. I took the boat into the fjord. It will let you out in the middle of the fjord just below Skagefla farm and then you have to hike uphill for 300 height meters to the farm with outstanding views. There you can have a beautiful break and eat and drink something in a great landscape. After that you have to go up another 250m and then it's a 4km stretch back to Geiranger. Yes it's a steep hike but I really, really loved it. And you know, you only have been really somewhere if you've been there on foot ;-)
They haven’t reach the Scageflo, only looked to it from outside . We did exactly same way in 2016 . In my plan is to get Scageflo from fjord and stay sometime there.

Glad you had a great experience! We had a different experience with rain and lots of mud.
