this remake of the mimic is actually INSANE!
Not really its just a map remake actually, the game is janky, models are okay to say the least.some parts are just completely silent and they did not care about optimisation at all. And it just feels incredibly rushed only good thing about the game was the new take on the game machenics.

This feels more like a revamp than the ACTUAL revamp.
I decided to do a review of Mimic's Redemption Chapter 1 Revamp, credit to Sircher for the style.
Fear - 2/5
Atmosphere - 5/5
Mechanics - 5/5
Engagement - 3.5/5
Compared to the first version, this revamp is incredible! Especially with the new maps, gameplays and designs! Unfortunately, the gameplay wasn't improve much...
So the first few minutes were the strongest point, however the fact Yasu was literally deaf throughout the game, and the objectives wasn't clearly. If they go for a silent protagonist view, that's okay but if that's the case, Yasu will have no clear personality in the game to the point it made him like a Y/N instead.
The graphics was still top-notch like before, same with the level designs but I think Kuriko's Part/The Sewer can be use for Shakabomination's Part instead, what confuses me is why they decided to scrap the ending... But overall the game is pretty well done, however it still feels rushed just like the old version. Don't get me wrong, it's more than perfect but if the game feature different lores than the original, it made me questions what will happen if Yasu will be a silent protagonist, but okay.
Now about the monsters, their design was TERRIFYING and absolutely better than the original, however there's a problem with all of them. Hiachi was the most okay out there, but it seems her jumpscare was cut-off, the old one is perfect so I suggest reuse it, but they should've extend the black screen in the new version.
Now Shizu, her part is LITERALLY impossible! Like it's an unavoidable death, and the issue is the lack of objectives that can make players go back to Kousei's House to find the key, you know how long it take. Shizu's Jumpscare was dark that it impossible to see the jumpscare itself
Biwaki's part is just a chase sequence, which I highly appreciate! But the animations wasn't played, she literally just T-Pose which makes it funny than scary, the lack of jumpscare also made it boring.
Lastly Kuriko, she doesn't even have a jumpscare it just a black screen, and the lack of objectives made me confused because some of the lever I turn on was suddenly turn off and I was almost rage-quit until I realize that was a wrong one, and Kuriko often get stuck in place, made it less challenging.
And as you guys pretty aware, disorienting jumpscares and audios are what Mimic's Redemption lacks, it still seems unfinished and buggy but if those bug doesn't count, the gameplay experience were ABSOLUTE PEAK!
Compared to the old, this version deserved a 10/10! But if rate it alone, I think it only have an 8.5 or 9/10
I hope Nightmare Productions will take the criticism seriously and improve it in the next time! I pretty much had fun playing this, especially with the new mechanics and new maps to explore, I can see they use Halloween Trials's Jigoku Hotel as a base structure to build the Hotel.

Also there will be changes that the commnuity wants for nightmare mode so you might see your ideas come to the game when Nightmare releases

Mimic's redemption developers are good making map, but terrible at making monster models.

Please most of the map models are probably free, the models and jumpscares are mid.

I love this game, I’m currently a Tester for them, Nxvprz and their team are really nice overall.
