Hands down still my favourite performances of all time. But I reckon Wesley Kailao 2021 in terms of pure entertainment will give this one a good go. watch this space.
13 minute dance? Bruh how much time do these guys have? My assignments are a struggle in itself. Who choreographs this? Should trumpets count in a Poly dance comp? etc etc Best Poly dance so far. R.i.p. to whoever was next.
lol in all my years at high school i always remember walking to the samoan stage to watch ones of the familiy then to the tongan stage for the other side, my gosh this was good, well done wesley hahahaha malie malie. polyfest 2018 what a time. mind you i was at the poly fest in the 80/90's those days walking to Nga Tapuwae in Mangere then switching to the Velodrome.
It's an illustration of what Tongans from Niua have seen in the past, hence the name "Tau-faka-niua" meaning "Niua style war". Niua is a sub-island group in Tonga and is not part of the main island groups and in their history they have had warring encounters with dutch sailors in the early 1600's. Maybe that is where the influence of this war dance came from.
@merearihipipitakoko5867 😂 jealousy and envy is a bitch. If you ain't got nothing positive to add? Stfu and move on... Typical of your kind to see something that intimidates your race.

The original kau To'a mei Niuatoputapū mo Niuafo'ou straight dominated neighbouring islands hence why the Tu'i Tonga started from Niuatoputapū, from the village of FALEHAU, Fale 'o e Hau - house of the champion. Do some research and you'll know why Taufakaniua is called "fight the Niua way" or style...
