What's sad about his wife is that she was probably insecure from all the gaslighting that inevitably comes with all the cheating. That probably fueled her try-hardish behavior that people pick up on.
Yeah, I remember watching the try wives interaction and Becky doesn’t seem to like Ariel very much. She’s a lot closer to Maggie and Matt. They all kinda treated her like an outsider. That's one possibility. It's also plausible that Ned could have said or implied that his workmates didn't really like her, which could have resulted in her being uncomfortable. That could have made her act uncomfortably around them, which could cause them to act uncomfortably around her too, thus creating the very situation he caused her to believe was the case.
People like Ned are extremely manipulative, and can behave this way even if they genuinely love their partner.

Eugene has been telepathically telling us when he stares into the camera in videos for months, maybe years (that last part is reaching but I am going with it)

About Ned being petty, I totally believe it. The guys Keith and Zack, on their podcast, said they were late on the announcement because among other stuff they figuring legal stuff out because they didn't want to get sued by Ned, I guess he has that personality. They mentioned that Ned used the same lettering of the public statement as in trying to make it look the same as the Try Guys PR and that was so shadyyyyy.

They worked together at buzzfeed and then the try guys left buzzfeed and then she left as well to join their company shortly after. Maybe Ned got her that opportunity more than we realize, since apparently he was taking on the majority of business responsibilities. He also did hiring at buzzfeed (that’s the only reason he met these guys - not because of being a performer, but because of being on the admin side). So he would have naturally been able to use his position to get Alex into the company if he wanted her around or promised her things. Who knows how it went down, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

I think she knew a lot more than she was willing or able to admit/process. I think people likely had a hard time respecting her when it came to their relationship and her behavior around Ned, which made them exasperated around her in general.
I think she spent most of her energy supporting him, excusing him, and trying to believe him and believe in him. I think she naturally turned to this community, HIS community, his employees, his friends, his world, to validate her desire to believe that things were ok.
I think they didn’t buy it, and they tried to hint at it. Tried to bring things up, tried to tell her she didn’t need to be insecure, tried to bring up examples of what people, in general, deserved in hopes that she would connect the dots.
I think she was trying so hard to make it all ok that she kept digging deeper, looking harder for the silver lining, convincing herself more and more that he could be excused and that he was good.
I think everyone couldn’t stand it, this desperate and dark energy that Ned created and that she carried with her because she didn’t want to lose him.
I think it became hard to respect her, not because she isn’t great, but BECAUSE she’s so great, and she was wasting so much of herself on this and on him.
She is talented, warm, intelligent, experienced, effective at everything she does, beautiful, and more. I think seeing this incredible person excuse her gremlin of a partner time and time again, until it’s all she did, was completely exhausting.
I think his actions caused a terrible, destructive energy in her and this energy is what she reflected to others in a plea for them to validate her until she could be at peace (which is impossible since her beliefs weren’t the problem, the reality of Ned was always the problem).

Ariel has said in a video that she did stop Ned from inviting one of his ex's to attend their wedding. This one ex was specifically requested by Ariel to not be invited because she felt iffy with this person and timeline when they met was really close to when Ned and that person was still hooking up.

Honestly it could also be when Eugene took a break from videos for a while for his other projects. I wouldn't be surprised if he just needed to get the fuck away from Ned for a while since Ned's behavior would be so abhorrent to Eugene.

This is literally validating things I have been slightly picking up on in the videos for some time now. Cringe when Ned would call himself daddy in front of the Food Babies. And Alex giggled. When Ned and Ariel were doing their marriage related videos marketing their cookbook & etc - I sensed tension between them then. It was undeniable in some scenes if you can read energy.
I also feel like her public response was really nonchalant. It gave me the impression she and everyone may have been aware of his infidelity for a long time. Definitely sensed the guys were catching on.
Yes, this low key made me uncomfortable too but i thought it was just like usual bad jokes from Ned. The tension is like, well they have two small kids and maybe they're just stressed, you know? It was so easy to just explain everything away.
The cookbook behind the scenes was so devoid of fun, excitement, whimsy, or romance. . . This is intense. Ned and his mistresses (allegedly) are far worse than we thought. What’s even more devastating is that all their issues have already been blasted on the internet and there’s no turning back from that. Their kids will know, and that’s awful.

I've seen so many cases and one thing you should never EVER do is to forgive cheaters. Once a cheater always a cheater. They never change.
They can change but they NEED to go to therapy and do the work usually. Cheating is much more common than people think. It’s usually people who have avoidant attachment which results from traumas (like previous partners cheating on them) and/or insecure attachment with key relationships (typically parents/family). Most cheaters cheat because they have some unmet need and due to their traumas, they can’t or don’t know how to communicate with their partner about it and cope through cheating. Sometimes they even want out of a relationship but can’t face the conflict because of their traumas and cheat instead. Definitely not excusing any of this behavior AT ALL. As I’m in school to become a counselor and am studying Marriage & Family Counseling specifically, I just know that changing the conversation about cheaters and raising awareness is the only way to get cheaters actual help and solve this widespread issue. With the proper resources and long-term treatment, couples can even come out immensely stronger and more committed after one (or even both) has cheated.
That being said, I don’t know much about this situation but I hope both Ned and his wife get counseling for themselves and heal. Even if it’s just individual help, cheating can be traumatic for her. Meanwhile, it can be re-traumatizing for Ned as cheaters are ostracized by many and thus, furthers the avoidant attachment issues. If he doesn’t get to the root of his behaviors and understand the cycle of self-sabotage, he’ll go on to hurt someone again and his wife go on trusting her next relationships (or him) less.

@@maddoxdriscoll168 I agree that cheating is a choice and there is no excuse. My reply is reflective of explaining the cause and subsequent climate around cheating. I used to despise cheaters and still find myself have immense judgement towards cheating at times. Especially with seeing my own mom never trust anyone again after being cheated on in multiple relationships. It’s a horrible decision that people make and it hurts everyone involved, I know that. After my education/training and in my career though I have see cheaters break down and do the internal work and become rehabilitated. I’ve seen couple completely rebuild their relationship together and be closer than ever. Often cheaters aren’t themselves in a relationship in the first place because it’s too vulnerable to be entirely themselves. So it’s amazing in the cases where a relationship becomes genuine between two people and they’ve managed to get to that point after such a low point. It’s not always the case of course but nonetheless, it’s important people get mental health resources. I wholeheartedly understand why cheaters are ostracized and at the same time, I recognize that that further pushes cheaters to retreat and not change. So though I understand why culturally it’s the status quo, I can’t say that I endorse that because ultimately it just leads to more trauma and hurt for those involved with the cheating person. Ostracizing only communicates to someone that they did something wrong or leads to them feeling shame. Shame isn’t usually helpful in cases with cheaters because they typically repress shame and avoid negative emotions as they lack appropriate coping skills. Overall, I understand why our culture reacts so strongly to cheating and see cheaters as lost causes. Given my experience and education though, I know it’s not helpful for anyone to end the conversation there.
I don’t wish to invalidate anyone’s pain when it comes to cheating. I fully believe that the key to addressing the prevalence of cheating is to turn it into a conversation about mental health and healing attachment traumas. For the majority of cheaters, that’s what will help them heal and not hurt others in the future. For those who have been cheated on and suffered such pain, they don’t wish it upon anyone else. Therefore, addressing cheating with proper treatment only helps people as a whole.
I’m not sure if you meant to say that they should be ostracized. Regardless, I hope this response encompasses more about where I’m coming from and communicates better why I don’t personally agree with ostracizing individuals and putting them into a box. I’ve seen the most unlikely people change- people who struggled for years with addiction, people who hit their children/spouses, etc. All groups that have been seen as lost causes and I’ve learned to not underestimate people and the power of healing from their stories. I wish for everyone to heal from their issues because I’ve seen how much everyone’s life improves.

I think Ariel knew a lot and everyone involved (at the company, all their friends) were upset with Ned for his behavior but also a bit exasperated with her. I think they probably dropped hints and gave information and she wouldn’t entertain it or hold Ned accountable.
Ariel seems well versed at explaining away her feelings in the relationships and Ned’s flaws. I’m willing to bet that she knew tons more than any of us realize about Ned’s issues and simply wasn’t ready to process it or hold him accountable.

I've heard Ariel describe herself as an open book, it's a thing, she's the one who will tell people all sorts of things the first time she meets them. So the lady Ned was caught with recently is one of the executive producers of the TRY GUYS, her name is Alex. Ned handles more of the analytics and HR (haha how ironic). So yes, it is REALLY bad that he got involved Alex. She and another producer actually was very active in their videos too. They even had their own videos called, FOOD BABIES. As far as your description of Ned..you’re pretty spot on. He definitely is the kind of guy who always wants to be in a relationship. He’s also what you said is like the FRAT PARTY BOY when he was in college. He even had the nick name, FULL THROTTLE FULMER…he gets super competitive too. There’s also a saying too.. “NED LOVES BAD IDEAS” (ppl are using this a lot now too cuz obviously..). But I think he is in love with love or like you said feels like he has to portray himself as that kind of guy. Even though he might not be that guy at all. What could have been done is:
They could've set her aside, told her the news in the most humane and gentle way possible, and then discussed together what could be the next best move. It doesn't even have to come from a personal standpoint, in terms of the actual production/projects of the parties involved. Ned would be phased put and then an official explanation would be sent to the fans, not to make what happened a public spectacle but just give them enough of what they need to know.
Now, based on what Ant is saying, they already treated her differently and in a bad way, so they aren't very good friends to her. So they feel like they didn't owe her anything but then that still lacks in the basic human decency area. I really do feel for her. 1) The biggest fight TTG had was during their tour when Zach took down Ned and Ariel's interior rehab video because he saw his fiance Maggie getting hate comments. Zach did it without permission and it was Ned's vid, so things got super tense. (on the Making the Try documentary)
2) They obviously get along the least out of all the guys. In the polygraph video, they ask Ned which segment he hated the most during their tour and he said it was Zach's. Zach is the one who asked if Ned ever cheated...on Without a Recipe.
3) I feel that Eugene and Keith are rarely paired together in their vids anymore is because Zach and Ned don't get along. They're the buffer pair. The two talked about how little they're together in stuff even though they enjoy being with each other on one of the very early podcasts when it was just them.

She just has this way of giving people the upset-mother-look which is very off putting when you're an adult dealing with her. I used to watch them every week years ago. They had just started their own channel. I saw them grow. I remember when Ariel had her baby. I fell off around then. I did a reading too and the other try guys knew at least to a degree, for sure two of them knew 100 percent. But the vibe was oh well there's bigger battles to fight which rationlized them looking away or not putting two and two together. Ariel knew but she's afraid of breaking up the family and the potential financial instability that comes from it.
