This video is absolutely one of the most helpful I've seen, it is fefinitely worth sitting through. So many of them leave out things that may be automatic to someone with experience, but are not for someone who is new to a technique, like all those extra little tips and tricks that you have included,. Having you walk through the basic steps from starting the project, to how to finish it, is so beneficial. I also belong to the Teach Me Graphghan group on Facebook and I hope they add a link to this video because it is hands-down one of the best ones out there.
I rarely comment of videos but I needed to let you know that I truly appreciate this video so much. You were very thorough and explained it in great detail. You took the time to make sure that we were able to truly understand how to do all the very important steps to make sure we make a great finished product. I know this is the only video you've done but I think that you could help so many people if you were to do other videos as well. Regardless I will treasure this video and thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to show us this
"As boring as watching grass grow." NOT. I enjoyed watching the whole thing, and may watch it again to actually work along with you, to practice. You made it look easy, so hopefully I will be able to achieve the same results. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is THE BEST yet. I had questions on changing colors and this tutorial answered them. I am a member of TeachMeGraphghan on Facebook. Now I know how to change colors, etc.
I have done Tunisian crochet but wasn't sure how to change colors. This was very helpful. Thank you so much for doing the video. It is so much easier to learn by watching.
Thank you So Much for this tutorial!! I was so confused by color changes before - I had totally avoided any projects that had Tunisian colorwork! But your video explains everything perfectly! Especially where the bobbins go behind the work! You've taken out the fear of TSS Colorwork for me - and I can't thank you enough!! You're a fantastic teacher!
Loved your vid Michele!! I appreciate that you showed the 'boring' parts! I have to see something over and over to get it into my head! I look forward to your next videos!
This is a great teaching video! Thank you so much for taking your time and explaining in detail. Now I feel like I am ready to start tackling a new project. Thanks again!
Thank you for taking your time to make this awesome video. It truly does help understand how to make one of these lovely afghans. I look forward to seeing more of your projects and videos, too. :)
I have yet to do Tunisian, but this has been very helpful and I cannot wait to try it. I want to do the penguin, because my husband LOVES penguins! Thank you!
I found this video very helpful. Michele, you were very thorough in your presentation. I am getting ready to do my first project using the Tunisian stitch and using bobbins. I learned a lot watching your video. Thank you for taking the time to put this tutorial together.
I am a very visual learner. You have explained the steps going over some of the steps several time. You also zoomed in on a step camera that made it easier to see what you are doing. Your video was a 10. :-)
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I couldn't figure out whyI was getting spaces in my work whenever I changed colour. I didn't know you twist the yarn colours over each other. You are a gem!
This is the BEST video I've seen for the various techniques involved in graphghans and changing colors. It's given me enough confidence to go my first Tunisian graphghan! Thank you so much!
Thank you! Now I will not be so afraid to try tunisian with color changes. Until now I have only changed yarn at row ends to the point that if I could not finish a row with the tail end of a skein I would rip out my work back to the beginning of the row!
I also want to do graphs in tss. Your video is the most helpful I have found. I ordered the same hooks you have. Please post more videos on tss!!! You are an execellent instructor.
Finally decided to try Tunisian Crochet to mix things up a bit. Thank you for demonstrating a more detailed pattern with a lot of color changes. The video is worth every minute.
Very comprehensive tutorial on doing color changes with Tunisian crochet. The tips for using the different bobbin types and also how to weave in ends were extremely helpful!!
Thank you, this was just the information I was looking for!!! Don't worry about showing TOO much, we can always fast forward or stop paying attention. We can't add more info if it is not there. Well Done!!!!
Applause, applause, applause -- best tutorial I have ever watched. This is all new to me and you haven't left any stone unturned. I felt so relaxed as I sat and watched you do the work. You are so patient and I feel as if I am sitting right there next to you. Thank you so very much. I look forward to trying this for myself !!
This was the MOST helpful video I've seen. Thank you so much for your wonderful explanation....I've been wanting to start a graphghan project and have been stalling because I just didn't feel comfortable. You made this look sooooooooooooooooo much easier than I had anticipated!!
Thank you so much for this video! I was doing a refresher because it's been a couple years since I did a big tunisian project, and there's so many great tips I wish I'd known last time. :D
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you so much. I feel very confident to try my first pattern even though I've never Tunisian crocheted either! Perfect. Video. Thank you Agsin xx
oh my goodness thank you so much Michele this is my first graphgan with the Tunisian stitch and you have made this so much easier than with the single crochet stitch my first one is of the star wars for my grandson and I was having such a hard time but now this is just whizzing through so much easier.... also thank you for the tips about the pegs for holding the yarn going to go to the dollar store right now I am using made up card board yarn holders
I enjoy that you are taking ur time explaining everything. I used to make friend ship braceelts and made a lot of alpha patterns with pictures and things and I have some patterns that I could make with this technique. I plan on buying a Tunisian hook tomarrow and practicing!!!
Thank you for helping me expand my crochet skills learning Tunisian crochet and using several colors. This was extremely helpful. I was thrilled to see the beige Susan Bates bobbin on your table, because I have this in my crochet bag from way back and wasn’t 100% sure what it was! I appreciate your showing the different bobbins and clothespins, too, very helpful.
Thank You. This is the most helpful video I have found. I have been trying to figure out this stitch for the longest. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR TAKEN THE TIME TO DO THIS.
GREAT video, Michele -- what a wonderful tutorial. It is so hard to believe this is your very first video tutorial. You did an excellent job. Everything was described so carefully -- the viewers didn't have to wonder about anything -- you covered it all. I hope that you will do many, many more tutorials. I found myself so relaxed while watching because you are so good at explaining e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will be your most devoted fan !!
Thank you so much for this excellent video! I have been trying to learn as much as possible to make my first Tunisian throw. I have watched every video and read anything I could find and this is absolutely the best video. No rambling on and on to confuse etc!! And your finished piece was so much neater than others. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you SO much! I finally understand what I was doing wrong with an ABC afghan I was making my children years ago. I wasn't wrapping the new color right when I started it. I just knew it was something very small that I wasn't quite getting. An older aunt of my husband's who lived quite a distance away had made a wonderful ABC afghan for my oldest son. Years later I got to thank her daughter who was gracious enough to give me her pattern, which was way before the internet. It has sat all these years. I can finally undo what I had started and redo it the right way. Thank you for all the little tips!
Thank you so much, Michele, for making this Tunisian color change video! I would have never guessed that this was your first time making a video. I appreciate how thoroughly you are going through all of the details (especially the explanation of the differences in the bobbins you showed) and that you are doing multiple rows of changes so we get to watch the process for an extended time. Your confident, relaxed manner of teaching makes the video very interesting to watch. My battery has decided it is done (although we aren't!) so I will move on to the desktop! Many thanks! (Subscribed, too!)
Thank you for this very informative video I am deffinately going to try Tunisia crochet . Very clear instructions. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I'm only 12 min in and I can honestly say, you are a wonderful teacher. I have a pattern from crochet world that is a tunisian argyle throw with cables (attaching the panels) but I have no idea how to do fluid color changes, and everything I am finding is for entralac blankets. So thank you for this!
Thank you for your teaching of color change..i am makimg a tinsion blanket and wanted the design to look good on both sides. Your method explains that and you show front and back. Great clothes pen idea..got them and they work great again thank. Do more.🤩🤩.
Wow, that was a long video lol. I loved every minute of it. I really do appreciate you taking the time to show all your knowledge n helpful tips. I've did a lil Tunisian crochet just as a practice n I know what you mean about the ends. That's a great tip. I also learned from Mikey to use the back bump on the foundation row. I also use baggies for my bobbins. Love your clothes pin idea as well. Your work is so very neat. I'll be watching more of your videos note that I found your channel. Thank you so much.
I quite enjoyed your video. Watched through the whole thing. You make it look easy! I have a lap afghan that I need to make with wording and I don't really like single crochet so you've given me another way to do it and Tunisian is pretty easy. :) Thank you for the thorough walk through video!
Thank you so much for posting this!! Even though it was really long, it answered every question I had with clean color changes in Tunisian crochet. (: And the penguin is adorable!
Thank you so much!! That cleared up so many lingering questions and uncertainties I had with regard to Tunisian - and going over the bobbins that worked best for you, the process you utilized, and the Tunisian hooks was very helpful. I bounce back and forth with what I use depending on the pattern and size and was feeling a little too scattered and Sybil-esque in failing to make up my mind with a singular decision. You let me know that I was justified in doing so. :) I had to LOL at "as boring as watching grass grow". I thought you did a fantastic job and it's restored my hope in the cleaner color changes I'll get with Tunisian vs. SC and HDC. As a Nana with new grandbabies I just can't keep up with the demand so this will help greatly.
Thank you, your very detailed and the info needed. Your the only one I found that talked about using a Tunisian hook with a tail, again thank you for mentioning how to use it.
I love your teaching technique. It's very easy to follow and understand. Tunisian is my favorite stitch. I want to attempt to do a throw with Eeyore on it soon. :)
don't DROP the bobbins. place them NICELY over the next color, and you will fuss less over tangling. you can clearly see in this video that "dropping" bobbins creates a mess. if stitches are more loose, the fabric will curl less so you won't need the trouble of blocking. :)
Brilliant video taken at just the right speed for learning.Just attempting my first Afghan which I'm going to cross stitch, and was just wondering how to do it in Tunisian. You appeared on my screen and answered the question and gave useful tips on the standard method of crochet too. Thank you, I'm now hooked.I got a plastic hook to start me off, don't like it, it drags on the stitches, can't wait for a metal one to arrive. Will then treat myself to a pack of various sizes.
Thank you for making this video tutorial and simplifying this method.I am working on my very 1st "Graphghan" that I designed myself and I have been very intimidated.Did I mention, this is also my 1st time doing Tunisian Crochet? This project is definitely full of many 1st's.
Thank you sooooo much for this video! Your explanation is so very clear! With this technique I can finally make some cool graphgans to surprise people with!!
Thank you very much for doing this video. I have been very confused about the term "twisting" in patterns. About all the info given was "as its done in kniting" which didn't help as I crochet and not knit. You took your time for those of us who are new to coloring changing in tunisian which I truly appreciate. thank you.
Hey Michele love your video, I met you in Hobby Lobby on Friday. My name is Barbara, I was asking you about some green yarn I was going to get. Changed my mind, it wasn't chunky enough. Thank you again
Greetings Michele! For this being your 1st Video Tutorial, you did excellent. It was very easy to see exactly what you were doing when you showed how and/or used the zoom on the camera. By having the patience to go slow and explain step by step was fantastic. It made it easier to follow along and to understand. I hope that in the future you do more Video Tutorial's on Tunisian Crochet project's. I like the clothes pin idea, better then my tube container with a hole in the lid, or my cardboard roll from the empty wax paper, etc. A BIG Thank You!!
awesome! one thing I need to say, when you do the foundation row in the back stitches, you go through the bumps, not the two stitches you are doing, but it is preferential, basically do what you are comfortable, there are no 'real' rules...I have the Denise set as well and LOVE them! thanks for a great video, and am going to look for those blue clothes pins.
Very nice and helpful. I will be doing a 2 color, white background and a brown reindeer silhouette for my red Christmas blanket, using 60 x 60 for each reindeer, 3 total for a 60 x 180 string of reindeer. 3 of those total to make 9 reindeer for Santa's deer, including Rudolph, which I will add a red nose to him, of course. Thanks!
Michele, I enjoyed your video. I love to use a pattern to guide, I also love the clothes pin concept…so cool, I will need to go and purchase bag clothes pins. Again thank you so much!11
This video was when I first started out. Other people posted about using PVC pipes. There was a short video showing the way I use color changing now please look for it in my videos. Thank you
Thank you for making this video. I am new to tunisian crochet (about 2 months), and I'm slowing learning stitches; I know three so far. LOL I love the way you flip the foundation chain over and work into it. I'll have to try that on my next project. Also, I like the way you do the color changes in the middle of your row. I haven't made a chart project like this, but now I'm eager to try it. Thanks again! I just subbed to your channel. :) :)

Not boring at all. I truly appreciate getting to see each step with so much detail. Thank you so much!
"As boring as watching grass grow." NOT. I enjoyed watching the whole thing, and may watch it again to actually work along with you, to practice. You made it look easy, so hopefully I will be able to achieve the same results. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing your techniques. I have been trying to learn this for ages and you are the first one who has been so thorough.
Your explanations are very good. It is the first time that I chrochet a motive in tunesian style. It operates great.

Thank you Gail. Once you "get it", it is addicting! I loved the look and learned the stitch, then tried the graphing.
I found this video very helpful. Michele, you were very thorough in your presentation. I am getting ready to do my first project using the Tunisian stitch and using bobbins. I learned a lot watching your video. Thank you for taking the time to put this tutorial together.
The most clear and informative tutorial I have ever came across, easy to understand and you cleared up a lot of questions for me. Thank you x
Very informative and easy to follow. Thank you. I'm looking forward to try making a afghan this way in the future.
I have been SEARCHING for a tunisian stitch graphghan video that actually makes sense and I FINALLY found it! Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant! All questions are answered. Thank You.

This looks a lot better than the casual crotched designs, because you can actually see the pixelart
What a wonderful tutorial for Tunisian crochet. Thank you so very much.
Best demonstration I have ever seen thank you so much
I enjoy that you are taking ur time explaining everything. I used to make friend ship braceelts and made a lot of alpha patterns with pictures and things and I have some patterns that I could make with this technique. I plan on buying a Tunisian hook tomarrow and practicing!!!

Great job explaining every step. I´m a begginer so I loved the very detailed explanation. Regards from Mexico
Thank you so much, Michele, for making this Tunisian color change video! I would have never guessed that this was your first time making a video. I'm excited to try a project like this now thanks so much for all the help
Thank you for this helpful tutorial about the Tunisian stitch. You are a wonderful teacher ! 😊💗
Thank you so much!
I'm only 12 min in and I can honestly say, you are a wonderful teacher. I have a pattern from crochet world that is a tunisian argyle throw with cables (attaching the panels) but I have no idea how to do fluid color changes, and everything I am finding is for entralac blankets. Thank you for sharing
This was awesome to watch
You did a great job
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Nice cool technique for organising left over yarn. Thx a ton
Thank you for this video! Since ages I was planning to do a graph but was unsure of many things. This explains a lot! Thank you :)
You have such a lovely, calm voice! Made watching this video very easy and understandable :) Thank you so much
thank you so much for this easy to understand tutorial, I will now have a try at tunisian crochet!!
Thank you so much for posting this!! Even though it was really long, it answered every question I had with clean color changes in Tunisian crochet. (: And the penguin is adorable!
This is an amazingly clear and helpful video. Thank you , Michelle.
This stitch is beautiful. It isn't as 'pixely' as some of the tutorials i have seen. Great job and great tutorial. 👍👏👏
Great video! Love the clothespin idea! Bought 24 smooth plastic ones at the Dollar Store for $1!
Love this video. Started Tunisian about 2 weeks ago and love it. This will make it better.
don't DROP the bobbins. place them NICELY over the next color, and you will fuss less over tangling. you can clearly see in this video that "dropping" bobbins creates a mess. if stitches are more loose, the fabric will curl less so you won't need the trouble of blocking. :)
Thank you so much, I have had a project in mind but could not quite work out how to do it, now I know!
Thank you so much for this video Michele, it was so clear and helpful!
Thank you it was a great video and very clear on what to do... Very helpful..
You can do it!
Great video. So nicely explained! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for this video. I have been wanting to make a crochet picture of my mom and dad. Now I can.
Thanks for taking the time to put this tutorial out their.
thank you for sharing this video. i am using the Tunisian to do a graph. it is very easy to work.
Thank you for making this video tutorial and simplifying this method.I am working on my very 1st "Graphghan" that I designed myself and I have been very intimidated.Did I mention, this is also my 1st time doing Tunisian Crochet?
This project is definitely full of many 1st's.
Thank you for explaining this. Your video is very good.
Thank you Donesia.
Thank you sooooo much for this video! Your explanation is so very clear! With this technique I can finally make some cool graphgans to surprise people with!!
Cynthia Molenaar
I like the way you are showing the change of color but I'm left handed, and I haven't found one that's good enough like yours.
Thank you very much for doing this video. I have been very confused about the term "twisting" in patterns. About all the info given was "as its done in kniting" which didn't help as I crochet and not knit. You took your time for those of us who are new to coloring changing in tunisian which I truly appreciate. thank you.
This tutorial was fantastic!! Thank You.
Amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! 😍⭐️💕
Hey Michele love your video, I met you in Hobby Lobby on Friday. My name is Barbara, I was asking you about some green yarn I was going to get. Changed my mind, it wasn't chunky enough. Thank you again

Thank you

Fantastic, informative tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for making this video. I am new to tunisian crochet (about 2 months), and I'm slowing learning stitches; I know three so far. LOL
I love the way you flip the foundation chain over and work into it. I'll have to try that on my next project.
Also, I like the way you do the color changes in the middle of your row. I haven't made a chart project like this, but now I'm eager to try it.
Thanks again! I just subbed to your channel. :) :)
Thank you for all the tips!!! Priceless 🙏
