The weather just turned fall-like here in SoCal and I love it. I have been buying cool weather clothes for my November trip to Portugal. The walk in the woods looked so peaceful...except for Mr./Ms. Snake. My opinion on the Tory Burch shoe...a bit old lady, but styled right, they could work.
Great video as always! Almost finished with my fall shopping. Grabbed some burgundy pieces and currently have some snakeskin boots in my cart over on J. Crew and an ostrich feather bag I wasn't looking for. LOL

I have the most gorgeous photo of a friend of mine and I at Cecconi’s. I’m a Detroiter and was there for work and she’s been there for about 8 years. We’d both never been. We sat outside and got the bridge in the background. It was an Amazing view! It gave me all the feels I’d always imagined about NY!
Never go to Nigeria. There are all kinds of snakes and we are talking about black mambas and cobras, not garden snakes😂😂😂😂. I saw them only in the zoo but even there they were standing up in a menacing and agressive way 😮😮😮😮😮😮

I’m watching this video like yeah it’s great time for a nature walk. Then I see that HUGE snake and was like nope! lol. The hike would have been over with. My cardio will be running back to the car😂. This is why I wait till winter to walk in the woods. Everything is hibernating😊

Cleaning products: I mix Pinesol , ammonia (a little) and Blue Fabuloso. Pour in a spray bottle or add in a bucket to mop. This is what I use to cleaned my home

Of course this video is just beautiful. That snake would have taken me out. I suggest wearing boots during those hikes. Me myself they would be similar to riding boots with my pants tucked in. I wear similar shoes even when gardening at home. My memories flooded back talking and listening to my elders. I miss them all. Now I’m the elder and just love sharing the past with my grandchildren.

I loved hearing about your great aunt. Hearing stories about other people’s families reminds all of us that despite our differences, we have som much in common. I also had 2 great aunts that loved fashion. They were sister in laws (who also happened to be cousins) who were both widowed young. By the time I was young they were roommates and fashion mavens. They always knew what skirt length was the right length that year (yup, I’m that old), always dressed to perfection when they went out. They’ve been gone a long time now, but I still think about them as I approach fashion/style and aging.
I certainly enjoyed the story of Auntie. I love how they dressed back then, my best friend and I always talk about this . I remember taking my mom to Lincoln Center and I remember how disappointed we were when we went to the Metropolitan Opera people wearing jeans and dressed so casual! It was such a let down. Your dear Aunt gave you some fabulous vintage items. I’m also a Seventh-Day-Adventist. 😂yes I wear jewelry ! Your Aunt is right about the sacrifice we make for fashion 😂😂ironically by best friend who is in her 60’s was scared to post a picture on IG because she was wearing pearls! I told her who cares! Yes you guessed it she’s also SDA! Madness😂 Great video Kura. Glad you were able you get more memories with your dear fashionable Aunt❤. Not buying too much Fall clothes. Trying to shop my closet. 😊it’s also still hot here. Yesterday was 86 not Fall weather. Best time to but Fall/ Winter items is in December/January . I know it sounds crazy but that’s when you get the best sales . I tend to buy classic items like cashmere sweaters , wool dresses, wool pants etc so by the time the following Fall season rolls around I’m already prepared without spending a fortune. It’s something I’ve done for years . In the meantime I’ve bought a few accessories like a nice chocolate brown clutch from “ & Other Stories” bought that full price because I knew that particular clutch would definitely get sold out as opposed to the basic staples. As far as getting fabulous items from my elders yes 😊I have a few fur coats that i inherited. I donated two, and gave one to my favorite cousin in England ( wished I didn’t donate the two oversized fur coats ) because they were too big. Now I gained so much weight I regret it 😂😂 I did keep two or three though . Sorry for the long comment. This video was just so touching because you gave us an insight of your visit with Auntie ❤have a great week

The pea green coat I got one from Zara maybe 2 years ago. My fave color is green. Leapard has always been a thing for me. My steps in my home is covered with a leapard carpet. Anywho loved the vlog. Thanks for sharing this video, living in CO we have to worry about mountain lions (no lie) and other animals that live in mountains etc. I enjoy walking girls on my treadmills I have no time for lions tigers and bears LOLOL, and we have a hill where people love to walk called Devils backbone and yes, they have a rattlesnake problem but people still walk it. LOL, I digress I can say that when I think about fall and all the leaves and colors I am happy that I live in a place where I can see and enjoy but then take my self right back in the house when the animals decide they were to cross over into the city limits. You look beautiful Kura, I have been walking on a tread mill every day except Sunday and on this day I will do intentionally stress and I appreciate you sharing what you have of your health journey it has helped me be more conscious about how I can treat my body better in not just what I wear but in what I put inside, in my ears, eyes all the things. Have a beautiful week happy fall and girl take the walks but have your stick just in case you have to knock a snake out. LOLOLOL
