Well Emmitt's own cousin is telling the story. She's still alive. That's something else. A lot of the monsters are still alive or have already passed the hate down to their children who passed it to their grandkids. That's how they keep the hate going.

I can't imagine. She said that when he was prepared for viewing, he looked a million times better than he did before. My ex boyfriend's son was murdered by a racist man last year. His son and his friend were chased down and shot to death. A man at a gas station was angry because he said they cut him in the line. They exchanged words and then the boys left. He went to his car started it up and ran their car into a ditch. He got out of his car, walked over to the boy's car and shot them to death. They're trying to say he's mentally ill so he might end up getting off the hook. My son is their age and it scares me whenever he leaves the house. Those boys weren't into gangs or any type of trouble and they lost their lives.

Those monsters didn't want the world to see their evilness and that's why they wanted to bury the body right away. They did their cruelties and wanted to hide it at the same time. If you are going to be that evil why not be proud of it.

I’m a 69 year old white woman …. I never heard Emmett Till’s story until now. It has shaken me to my core to know that abominations such as these happened … a child so brutally MURDERED, the MURDER so unbelievably tolerated, brushed over, accepted like nothing happened and then you see the pictures…. Try to understand WHY, HOW this could have happened…. I’m lost, reality that this was accepted, what his mother dealt with, the courage she had to bring this to make people aware for them to sweep it under the rug again. To let these animals off and hold them absolutely unaccountable for what they did. I can’t even begin to believe what this said about us as a society, I’m just lost …….

It is sad to see photos of a lady crying so hard about her son, it was not her fault, he was 14 and she told him how to act once he got there. That is all parents can do, is advise their child or children about the world, it is up to them to do it, he made a choice and it was a bad one, that didn't justify what they done, they were grown men full of hate.

The woman that is responsible for the lie told that got Emmet killed and tortured is still alive. How can she look at herself in the mirror every morning. Her day of judgement is coming. There will be no mercy for her just like there was none for him. Her name is Carolyn Donham. She lives in SC with her son now.

When does a sheriff get to decide where, when, the victim is to be buried? What about the eulogy? Was the mother not entitled to make these decisions? Emmett was only a visitor in that Mississippi town. This is atrocious.
