========= In the Name of God LYRICS ==========
Hide from the public eye, choose to appear when it suits you
Claim you’re just, killing women and children
Fight, when you choose to fight, hide in a cave when you’re hunted
Like a beast spawned from hell, utilising fear
Chosen by God or a coward insane?
Stand up and show me your face!
Suicidal, in a trance
A religious army
Fight without a uniform and hide in the crowd
Call it holy, call it just
Authorised by heaven
Leave your wounded as they die, and call it God’s will
Run when it’s time to pay, fear consequence of your action
Reappear, when you’re almost forgotten
Dream of a world in peace, yet you cause pain and destruction
Kill your own, a response of your action
Captured in all your lies, fear is in your eyes
Creature who’s gone insane, your war is in vain
Trapped in a cage of stone, we’ll destroy your home
Consequence of your action

For some reason this part is so sinister to me.
I always hear it as "trapped in a cage of scone".
It goes so hard, makes my think of JDAMS
This is still real today, look at what did Israel in Gaza. They're destroying Gaza because of the Hamas action.
You reap what you sow.
@@GetYourChicken17 if the song is about hansel and gretel vengemce to the witch then sure
Sabaton usually doesn't take sides when it comes to their songs, but honestly I can feel the anger in this song towards those who perpetrated the 9/11 attack and the subsequent terrorist attacks accross the world.
And the great thing about this song too is they aren't directly damning them. They're listing out their points, letting the audience make their own opinions
It's probably because this isn't a debatable war or conflict, this is straight terrorism which leads to the deaths of specifically innocent civilians rather than soldiers.
If they are angry, nobody can blame them because 9/11 lead to over twenty years of death, destruction, and suffering for so many that could have been avoided and it isn't over yet. Not only could we throw in Al-Qaeda's attacks prior to that day, but we could possibly count so much more that was done by other groups perhaps including even the conflict between Israel and Hamas. This is of course not counting what could come in the future.
If I'm not mistaken the lyrics are written from the victims prespective.
Sabaton lyrics more or less always take sides. Usually it is the side with more money (NATO countries)
It took me a small minute to realize, this was about 9/11, Rest in peace all those who passed
It’s cool to see them not just telling straight history but having an opinion
Me too
Why? because they had to put it in the description?
because all of the references in the song are to Christrians and God? and not islam and allah/muhammed?
Wake up. This group are pathetic losers. They wanted to make a song about islamic jihad. Yet they chose to use God and Christianity in the lyrics? despicable. This song isn't about islamic jihad, this song is about persecuting you if you don't STAN it. You're just too fucking dense to realise it.
Don't believe me?
This is an open call to the band to make a song that specifically references allah, muhammed and the rape-cult of islamism.
They won't fucking dare.
i swear, i thought it was about the war on terror overall xD
Hide in a cave was the line that made me ralize
The fact this song doesn’t end is unsettling. It just stops just how it starts waiting to be looped over and over till the war ends
And the war won’t end, it’s a endless Cycle, just like the song, terror leads to more terror, War causes War
One of my top 10 sabaton songs now has a official music this day can’t get any better.

I can only say this. Anyone on TickTock who says that Osama had a point and we deserved to be attacked and says that people should read his sick letter and sympathize with terrorism, they are no fan of Sabaton and i think i speak for Joakim himself when i say that absolutely no political, religious, or domestic issues like the current bloodbath happening right now in the Middle East with Israel and Hamas will ever be tolerated. Their concerts are about getting together and defusing tensions and honoring those who served and made it home and those who didnt survive through the power of music. And that is why Sabaton means so much to me. Their songs teach history to our generation through the power of heavy metal. Before i heard "The White Death" i never even heard of Simo Hayha. Now, i know everything about him. Thats all i gotta say.

Thank YOU! 🤘
@@Sabaton Seriously you guys are one of the best Heavy Metal bands, or whatever this style you do is. Most of your songs are easy to understand, once I learn what each is about I'm inticed to learn more about it, then when I've learned and relisten to the song it's now even better with knowing the meaning of every lyric. You're loud and epic but not ussually hard t understand like some of this kind of music can be, even better is that it's just epic and teaches history. It also just makes great background music for any war based videogame I play. Some of your music even feels like I'm on a battlefield if I cit still, close my eyes, and use my imagination while wearing surround sound headphones. Just so awesome. Maybe you could try a series of music about fictional conflicts like Halo, Gears Of War, or Star Wars, I've already listened to some of these songs and aplied them well to fiction, maybe you could even just take existing songs and make a special new version of it with lyrics tailored to a specific fiction.
I usually don't comment. But as someone who live in certain country full of this 'religion of peace' people and I am not one of them, I really like this song. It is hard not to be bitter and angry when you see things like church got bombed and those 'people' laughing about it on social media and if you dare to speak up you will be the one who go to jail instead of them because you are 'being I-phobic and disturbing peace'.
I don't want to make long unnecessary rant but I truly wish people stop defending terrorist because they only saw biased news and never live on the situation themself.

so you're going to blame the religion that condems murder and any form of self harm, considering them major sins because terrorist groups that blatantly do both of them say they are from that religion? I don't know where you are or if you actually did have a bad experience with Muslims near you, I just wanted you to know it's not the religion it's the culture and upbringing.
