Sydnie is beyond fabulous! She gives most who hear her the goosebumps! No one in all my 83 years has ever affected me the way Sydnie and her voice has! Best out there in terms of control, tone, emotion, enunciation, voice range, “on key”, all converging together as she tells a beautiful story!!
Not only did Andrew Lloyd Webber invite Sydnie to record his song, he gave her permission to write & record her own arrangement ... which is what she did for this video.
6:52 ❤ Thank you so much for your reaction to this and taking us on this journey together. I have truly enjoyed listening to this series discovering Sydnie. I’ve listened to all of your reactions over and over so emotional I cry every time. What an awesome story teller through music! Thank you!
Hi honey, this is the theme to the stage show Sydnie was in, in Germany called "Starlight Express" for 4 years. It is now in the West End. She sand it on Facebook, and Andrew Lloyd Webber saw it and said she could record it. It is very personal to her. Hope you enjoyed it. Xxx
@@ClareChristmas Your niece has brought enjoyment to millions in such a short time. She will be a worldwide superstar, I hope I will be around long enough to watch and listen to her journey. She has a wonderful personality, a beautiful person, I wish her all the best for her future.
Her time in Germany as a member of Starlight Express is where she performed in what they call a “Swing” role. She had to be ready to play any of 5 or 6 roles if someone wasn’t available for that particular show. I don’t know if any of those roles included singing this song, but she certainly sang it with conviction.
It is not an original but an Sydnie Christmas version. "Starlight Express is a 1984 musical, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe." (Wikipedia). I heard this version, for the 1st time, in a July 7th IG post with Max on keyboard. Immediately, Andrew Lloyd Webber supported Sydnie Christamas' idea. I would love to here your reaction to - Somebody To Love - We Will Rock You - Sydnie Christmas - ua-cam.com/video/AR0mJ41WW28/v-deo.html.
She is amazing I really enjoy her music love to see you check out Courtney hadwin she recently performed at Carnegie Hall Clyde Davis celebration where she sang a Janis Joplin song piece of My heart it's on her UA-cam station thanks a lot
It's not original as it's her own choice of the lyrics, so her version, as others here have said. Fabulously done by her, on the London stage. Any complaint that this video is staged likely refers to her not having a mic while covering her own recording; as happens in any scenic, music video, with the artist of course not being recorded live. The lyrics with graphics video with which this song was released, is also excellent, but thank you for your appreciation of Sydnie's new song.
It’s obvious it was mixed in a studio with a little too much audio/video editing in my opinion. However, we have seen her sing live and quite frankly she sounds better live. It is what it is. Music producers and studios love editing even when none is needed. Sydnie could have slowed the song down and really make it her own song but that would be like slapping Webber in the face. Why burn a bridge she is hoping to cross? Even with all that said, she sang it better than anyone else who I have heard.👍🌹❤️
