4 Kollector which country u r? I am a collector myself .I want to get a good look on each of these pages to add any unknown stamps or new stamps.i sold 15% off my collection and while I see Ur vid a good album and presentation ignites my passion again.but for me I feel I was stressed out instead of enjoying collecting
Most people arrange by country. That's how I started arranging mine. But it really depends on an individual. When I started I knew that I wanted at least one stamp from every country. But instead of doing it alphabetically by country name I did it by continents. But what happened was that I started putting my stamps in as I got them and if I ran out of space instead of taking them all out again and reorganizing I started just stick them in randomly where I found the space. If you can avoid handling the stamps too much it is best since you avoid damaging them with oil on your fingers and sometimes the stamps can accidentally tear while you are putting them into album. I ended up collecting a lot of stamps from British commonwealth and I wish I had a separate album just for that category. As far as organizing by a theme like birds or plane etc, I think that is also very fun. I personally didn't think of it. What I suggest is basically look at your existing collection and see what you have. If you have enough stamps for many different countries then arrange by countries but if you have been collecting stamps by theme then do it that way. No wrong or right answer...since one and only person who needs to be happy with the final result is you! But I applaud you for planning which in my case was quite poor but still I am happy with the result.
Sir, could I please know how you had made space enough to place different sizes of miniature sheets in an album which is designed only for placing of postage stamps !
Hello. All you have to do is stick the stamp sheet in same pocket as you would any regular stamp and as long as you have a good quality album, the pockets will keep the sheet in place and then I put all the regular size stamps around it...so basically there is no special thing I did.
I bought mostly on eBay, also some on Hipstamp.com. So these stamps were bought as individual or as a set over 5 years so had to be patient but it was a lot of fun!
It took a long time to put this album. Most of these stamps are purchased from websites like eBay, hipstamp, delcampe, stamporama. Stamporama is probably where you want to start because the prices are more reasonable. Also some sellers on eBay sell worldwide lot of 100 stamps in great condition at good price and that can also be a fun way to get started. Later you can see which type of stamps your daughter likes and start that journey with her. For me stamps of British commonwealth were most appealing. Hope this helps!
Garage sales are good spots to find stamps because you can make bargains (some people know nothing about stamps). Say family and friends you collect stamps, if they are kind they can give you some stamps (grandfather's collection, found in attics, from mail...). It's also important to have catalogs to better know stamps. They are expensive but you can find them on the internet for free
I bought most of these on eBay by searching for sellers with lowest price. So not all from same seller but all different sellers slowly over several years until the album was full.

Lots of interesting material, BUT terrible presentation! In fact there's no presentation, all seems mixed up and jumbled up, such a shame and unfortunately I see too much of that too often. I can see u are passionate about collecting. Where u see chaos I see harmony. To me stamps are artwork and can be appreciated without being organized by face value, theme, catalog number, country, year etc. I find it fun to pickup the album and just have fun spending time looking at one stock page and seeing all the colors, people, places, animals, nature, art coming together without empty rows of cutouts pointing out meaningless catalog numbers (which vary depending on where u are). Just enjoy it raw!
@@4Kollector That's fine if you enjoy your collection that way, each to his own but I believe it doesn't show the beauty and dignity of each set or item on its own, evenly , harmoniously spaced.
