UnnTHPS - Yeah man it's never too late to start. I owned a guitar for most of my childhood and finally decided to learn how to play when I was 21. I had to buy a new guitar and everything because it had sat so long and was only meant to be a beginner guitar. You'll never regret trying something you want to do but you will regret never doing it.
Acid CH - On top of having the mind to learn a new instrument you also have so many resources you can use to learn. UA-cam being a great option for starters.
The thing is I think its the complete opposite :D When you start an instrument f.x. the piano, u gotta have to really focus on technic. U really need someone who listens to you playing etc. because what you think you're playing and what u really play are sometimes really different. But nevertheless when being intermediate youtube helps much :)
