Ozzy went on Twitter (X) to say that this was the best cover of the song that he's ever heard. When you win high praise from the original artist that sung the song, you know you've hit a home run.
When a hawt but homeless chick tells you she's never, NEVER came that hardy, and you and her are afterglowing in an abandoned shopping cart, man-!
He said it about the live version, not this one.
Ozzy said the same thing about Brownout's version. I think Brownout's version blows this out of the water. I know everyone has their own taste and opinion. My opinion is that this is a little disappointing and kind of weird. I kind of can't believe this is Ozzy-approved. If you haven't heard of Brownout and love Black Sabbath, you should check them out. I think all they do is cover Sabbath. "Snowblind" is PHENOMENAL. I almost like it better than the original.
@@melonballer8475 Yeah you can have your opinion back brother
@@melonballer8475 Actualy thanks to you ive been enjoying this song more. T-pains version i mean
A rapper singing a metal anti war song. T-Pain you bought the soul dude. Kudos.
People forget tpain is a genuine artist and he just reminds them sometimes, anyone that can rhyme mansion with wiscansin is a goat
REAL. i just associate him with party music but damn.
When he was kinda black listed for using auto tune when LITERALLY EVERYONE DOES NOW 😅 he was not doing so well at time in 2013 he did a show in my town his old hits all amazing I love him I live in small ass town I was shocked he even came it was for ETSU students in Johnson City TN he put on a great show (but someone of his lvl doing a show so small here had me thinking............ that's when I found out he could sing before mask singer
Also, Auburn Sucks.
Brother please cover cult of personality by living colour you would absolutely kill the vocals on that
He definitely sounds something like Corey on this one, no?
Hell yeah
I second this!
Damn I thought CCR's Heard it Through the Grapevine would be good. But this, this is better.
Lowkey saw this comment and thought "is that just cause he's black?" and then listened to the song with this in mind and I 100% agree
If T pain released a album with this energy. I swear he would sell an insane amount
Wish granted
This was part of an album that was all covers.
but the god tier voice isn't enough, he needs good songs
How has the world ignored the “gospel chops” potential in this song until now? It’s so obvious after hearing this rendition. Love it.
Because people in the 70s were too focused on it being "loud and satanic". Black Sabbath are all devout christians, and their music carries a lot of biblical references
The world knows the "gospel chops" quite well already. It's been obvious after listening to the original the first time. Black Sabbath were well known and well respected musically. It's just that it's so long ago now that the kids are just finding out about it. Check out Charles Bradley's cover of Changes from Vol.4
Bill McClintock Mashups ;)
He tore this up🤘🤘🤘 Awesome vocals
@@chrisgonz19 its funny that its considered satanic when this song is definitely a critique on military industrial complex. whether ozzy meant it that way or not
As a black teen who loved t-pain and black sabbath growing up I felt so seen with this cover. The black energy t-pain brought to a classic made me melt
That's awesome dude. I just discovered this gem today. You're a teen? That's cool. I'm turning 40 this year.
Last time I thought about Tpain was Freaknik on CT. U probably young. This is a jam though. Glad the algorithm Goss sent it to me
* too young I mean. I dont know how to edit comments LoL
I live for this comment. The world of music is so diverse. We have so many artist that enjoy so many genres. I am so glad you feel seen. I see you, friend.
@irenegonzalez201 You've never heard the song War Pigs before? wtf man.
@@sarahwolfe1154he probably meant tpains cover
Ozzy himself said this is the best cover ever done of this classic!!! Maaaaaddd respect T pain!
What an amazing cover! This brought my father who is a Vietnam veteran to tears and he is sharing it with other vets at his local VA
As a 50 year Sabbath fan all I can say is ... nailed it.
More Sabbath please.
fairies wear boots is waiting for him on this one lol for sure
The warning!
dam right
@@maxwellhowelldude. I would love to see(hear) him cover The Warning.
Doesn’t matter who you are or what music you like, “War Pigs” resonates with everyone. And T-Pain was fire on this cover. Respect…
@@JacobTheThinkerYep, f#%k the politicians, they're two sides of the same turd!
@@JacobTheThinker Yeah they never think this song is directed at THEM though. It's the other bad politicians
@@lostlemuria7867no....it's directly at those politicians specifically. If anything, the 'other bad politicians' get a pass on this particular transgression.
He's a rap pop star not metal or death metalist stick to rapping lol
@@dsevg_nz4360 Who the fuck made you the metal gatekeeper?
I'm a life long metalhead and Black Sabbath fan...this shit gave me chills!!!! Stellar job!!
Listen to Miley Cyrus and Metallica do Nothing Else Matters. Their voices blend perfectly. Don't sleep on Miley, she's talented as hell!
@@G_FRE Talented or not, I don’t support degeneracy.
@@G_FRE lOL CYRUS IS A NEPO BABY ...YUUCK
@@JoeRoganPodcastirl Attitudes like this do nothing but hold the entire industry back. Negative for no other reason than pig headed stubbornness. Genre fusion is the way of the future, keep up or get left behind old man.
@@janemba42 “Attitudes like that” You mean having an intolerance for degenerate behavior holds the music industry back? How is that a good thing? I would argue degeneracy holds the music industry back. This isn’t an issue with fusing genres. I’m all for it. It’s about individual actions. I care as much about who the artist is as I do their talent. In some cases even more so. Studies show stuff like that actually matters more to the newer generations. So that makes your comment look really stupid.
Respect for doing justice to this Sabbath classic and bringing it to a new audience!
No wonder Ozzy love’s this cover T Pain killed it. This is how a proper cover should be done
this feels very Hendricks inspired and almost like a gospel... very well done.
Hendrix was a big influence on Black Sabbath...and he praised their first album as the future of music.
His vocals got a little Lenny Kravitz and Ozzy mixed in - such a wonderful mesmerizing vocal delivery - Welcome back Mr. Pain
I was thinking the same thing!
Yesir on point
That's a great description 🥰
He never left, kept grinding, he deserves this new spark !
sounds more like T Pain
As a massive metal head this gave me goosebumps!
The way he respected the original but still gave it his own twist is something truly beautiful!
One of the most talented musicians of our generation, and he spent a decade being known as the "autotune guy". We really did TPain dirty for a long time by not appreciating his talent.
Fr 😅
I saw him live once. He was so fucked up he could barely stand. He's very talented, but i think he appears exactly as much as he wants to.
He’s the only one that sounds good with autotune because he can actually sing
A true man of culture saying we. We sure did. Glad hes getting his flowers finally.
Cuz he overdid auto tune, and it was fucking awful lol
At the end of the day, Sabbath is just heavy blues.
As long as you can bring the blues, you can kill it.
And man he killed it.
To be fair, all metal and rock is pretty heavily based on the structure created with blues music. I definitely agree that if you can bring blues you can kill sabbath, but you can expand that to most rock and metal bands
sabbath is metal.
@@Tanzenergiseblues is a style and on top of that is stuff like scales
@@Tanzenergisewhich is heavily based on the blues
@@devinvenne but it isen't blues. it evolved FROM blues but metal aint blues. two different beasts entirely
TPAIN NEEDS TO GO ON A FULL METAL TOUR WITH THE OLD TYPE O NEGATIVE CREW BACK8NG HIM UP !
Black singers covering rock classics. Fuck yeah, the future is bright!!!❤
I call it things coming full circle. Rock and metal have black roots. Its time the genre returned to the source.
@@tristanband4003was gonna say the same. The Beatles, Elvis, Led Zeppelin, etc. all worshipped blues players.
This song is more relevant today just as it was back when it came out. Nothing has changed
Because war.. War never changes
History is cyclical.
Tpain got the metal message we are in this together everything is grey there is no black or white anymore
Ozzy just said this is his favorite cover of war pigs
That kick and bass drum sounds so damn amazing. Whoever is on the drums is a damn fool 👏🏿 I really feel the sound.
the kick is like the worst part of the song by far lol, ruins it completely imo. it's clipping so badly
I just discovered T-Pain from word of mouth about this song. What a talent.....Great singer. This band kicks a lot of ass as well. My life is better for hearing this cover.
Dude hell yes 🤘🏼🤘🏼 I need more rock music from tpain he’s got that vibrato and tone downnn
I remember seeing T Pain performing on the tiny desk concert. And being utterly shocked at his voice. It made me question who decided to auto tune his voice. So glad he's letting it shine through. Just pre ordered the vinyl. I hope nothing but the best for him. Please don't let this be the last time you do something like this.
He did. He discovered AutoTune and fucked around with it and liked the strange way it made his voice sound. He actually said he cried when he first heard the effect on his singing.
He is one of the first ones back then to utilize auto tune. A lot of rappers were mad at him, but then went and did the same thing as him. With no credit. He deserve his flowers. If not for him, people like the rapper future wouldn’t be here. The industry did him wrong.
He was using it as an effect, and not for pitch correction.
A lot of people don't understand if you hear autotune, it's a stylistic choice. It was never because an artist couldn't sing.
BTW the vocals just started for me, there's tons of vocal effect on this track. Not his raw voice in any way.
Can we just appreciate how much his bassist is going OFF in this song? Fucking awesome.
Love the cover!
You can't cover Geezer Butler on bass and not go off. You be doing a disservice the song, the instrument, in the man.
And the drummer!
Gen-xer here and a Sabbath/Ozzy fan........ got to say Dayum! i am impressed! you brought the Soul and Spirit to that cover brother!🤘🤘🤘💪👏
Holy crap. Grew up with this music. This is THE best cover of war pigs I have ever heard. I bow to T Pain. He ripped it up.
I had no idea T-Pain was such an incredible vocalist! Love this!!
Go watch his Tiny Desk performance! So good. Does all his jams, but without the autotune. This guy has some serious singing chops!
Also watch his buy you a drank he did with no autotune and just instrumentals
@AcuRobbie I sang along to that version while singing in my shower for years, such a good video
The bass is just as sick here as it was in the original.
T pain is about to bring a genre back to life.
Welp this just made me cry. It’s like you gave new meaning to this song without even changing the lyrics. I felt this differently than I would have listening to it by Black Sabbath. Nice job mr pain
How the lyrics still stand today. All he really did was just show us that government has stagnated which most of us younger metal heads already figured out by just looking around. T-Pain did a killer job but don’t take away the absolute fact of the original song never being obsolete in its message.
@@jankjaws9815 I’m the biggest Black Sabbath fan and got to see them in 2015 (without bill ward sadly 😔) so don’t take that comment as me downplaying the original. I just felt the song in a new way. Cheers to both versions
I saw Sabbath in 1975, like 14 years old, too young to appreciate what I was seeing, I think, but now I know!
@@MrDenniske1 wow that’s cool. Just the other day someone asked “if you could see any band in any year what would it be?” And I said sabbath in 1975
Lyric wad indeed changed.
I’m a little late to the party but damn… T Pain has some amazing vocals, completely underrated. I need more of this from him. Forget buying you a drink, send in the war pigs!!!
EXCELLENT COVER! Props to Tpain for not only knowing this song but liking it enough to actually cover it.
This is how an artist grows into a legend !
My favorite song ever covered by the best underrated singer of all time. This is absolutely stunning.
I hear this on Fb and I had to come hear the full song! This is a MASTERPIECE!
Vocals, bass, guitar and drums are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
T-Pain heightened Black Sabbath's blues roots with this cover.
I Still can't believe my ears. Am i the last to hear this ? T-Pain is incredible. This cover is Amazing and I grew up on Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath classic ❤
Hell to the yes. All of it. ❤
Tpain this is so good, it's indescribable! I swear, you remind me of Marvin here, even though it's a Sabbath song. The energy....
I think T-pain Has Found His Next EVOLOUTION IN MUSIC!
As a longtime Metalhead, you nailed it. That YEEAAAA gave me chills. Well done!! Please do more \m/ \m/
damn t pain you sound good on some classic rock man! keep killin it youre literally a god of hip hop
Listening to this again and again. EPIC
💐 💐 💐 💐
Hell nah, Pain killed this track and he said he was worried what the metal heads would think bc like he said classics shouldnt be touched but he loved this song so much he wanted to cover it.
Metalhead and rivethead here (rivethead is a fan of industrial music).
TPain did great. He did justice to the song. I'd love to see him put together a full blown music video for this.
As a life long Sabbath fan and casual T-Pain fan this cover is lit really showcases T-Pains talent
Never realized how much a versatile voice pain has
This has to be the greatest cover of all time. Had my head bobbing and grooving the whole time.
Got that Gospel spin on it!! 🔥🔥🔥
All of Black Sabaths songs do, despite what the media said with them being satanic they're all devoted Christians even Ozzy.
This was unreal. Who knew WarPigs needed an organ!!!!
I heard a clip of this and bro what I heard is what you described
😂😂😂😂
@@johnathanheatherman6438 there is a song by ozzy called mr crowley after alister crowley the infamous occultist.

I never would've expected this from T-Pain of all people as I don't follow him much, but this has opened my eyes. Definitely gonna preorder the Vinyl and check out some other music while I'm at it. Amazing Cover!
Holy shit this is awesome. What a voice
Damm so much better than I thought it would be…..imagery was great too
Man, T-Pain deserves so much more credit for his actual talent. We really didn't get him the first time around, did we?
this cover is DOPE! Love the whole album, really shows your range T Pain. I hope we get more.
This is something that i didn't knew i needed.....but now i do....i haven't stopped watching it.....
It is when people like T pain and others reach out and embrace rock when the music world can actually understand that what is thought and what is, is far from truth. We should learn to respect and enjoy all music styles for what they are and then try to cover the best songs in different styles. I'm waiting for someone to show me a hip hop version of black betty from Ramm jet.
Genuinely enjoyed this cover. Did justice to the original, proved its timeless lyrics... and the vocals! T Pain brought it!
That guitar player killed it.
TPain....listen to em....cult of personality.....you would ace that shit for real
Holy shit, how am I just hearing this now?!
I appreciate the art of music and not everyone can put the art and feelings into there music especially doing covers. Most people try to hard or don’t try enough because it’s already a good song so they think there’s is going to be to. So they try to match the original as much as possible and even if it sounds decent I don’t like most peoples covers because they don’t put their own personality, heart, and emotions/ feelings in when doing the cover. So I really love when I do hear a cover of a song when the person put them into it even if the person doesn’t have a great or even good singer voice. As long as people can tell they are passionate about what they are singing, putting the right amount of emotion in and in the right spots people will not care how the voice sound. And I think this cover is amazing the voice sound amazing and it is just perfect for this song. This is probably one of my favorite covers. It definitely goes in my top 5 favorite covers.
Seriously a fan since up down and the humor and talent T brings to the table . Also a metal head so for me this is super dope! What a versatile artist 🤟
I'm convinced that nobody dislikes T-Pain
How could u? Lmao
Your voice sounds incredible on this!!😍😭😭🏆👑🙌🏽
I did not expect to like this but, I actually love it.
He never needed auto tune. Auto tune needed t pain lol

This is giving me some Living Colour energy.
History will keep you in a special place T-Pain. This is absolutely epic
This is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! I loved the Black Sabbath original, but T-Pain's cover made me pull my car over and pay attention.
T-Pain is amazing in this performance
Nailed It! Oz man definition imrezz.
What an incredible cover!!!!
I love t pain in a fan but I swear to go he killed me with this omg thank you! My favorite song done justice!
I wasn't expecting this. Amazing jog T-pain!
Absolutely NAILED it.
Blown away....didn't realize T-Pain could pipe like this!. What a masterful, vocal rendition of one of the Great Black Sabbath tunes. Ozzy will be proud!
Look up his performances on The Masked Singer
A testament to a great song is how many artists are so inspired to cover it. In the case of War Pigs, I have heard many cover this song, and the ones that do it successfully always color it with their own pastiche. T-Pain realizes how malleable the song can be. He mines the funk, like Cake did, celebrates the fun like Ren's busker band did, but you know the man behind the mic is T-Pain, bringing the visceral brutality of Sabbath's original concept. Bravo!
\m/ * * \m/
T-Pain is finally getting his flowers!
Gothic funk vibes. Love it
The cover I totally did not know I needed to hear!!!🔥🔥🔥
