I know people talked a lot of mess about Tyler Perry's latest film but I thought Phylicia Rashad was phenomenal. Her role allowed her to show some range. If Tyler hired writers to developed the script, I can see it being nominated for several awards.

If Lynn Whitfield was white, she would be far known beyond her two roles, The Josephine Baker Story and Thin Line Between Love & Hate! Phylicia Rashad depth of acting is far beyond playing the mother on The Cosby Show. You got to see her range a little bit in "A Fall From Grace" , TV show Do No Harm, TV film -Jailbirds and maybe TV film - The Old Settler but unfortunately, they put her in the boogie "Mother figure box". If she was white, we would have seen her in more of variety of roles.
