Good review and flight Pete, I ordered this one about two weeks ago and am still waiting for it. I saw a few reviews of it and decided to get it, maybe the camera could be changed and do some mods to the quad itself but I like that the gps seems to work pretty good . I will try the other features but I don't really use them that much with the exception of RTH.
Gregory Hall Thanks Greg :) Yes!!! Everything works!!! I love the fact it also has failsafe and low voltage return to home. The camera for sure junk perhaps a möbius will work better.
This one I reviewed as a personal purchase.. Will be interested to see if the way points And orbit work for you now Pete. It did not on my fl drone 2 app. Only follow me did. And a few viewers on my videos say the app ain't available on playstore atm? Good review :)
PerthWestOZ RC Thanks Dave :) I'm surprised that all the RTH functions work and the GPS is working good. I'm gonna try it with the phone app soon to check it out but I'm not expecting great results since it is using the phone as the point of reference.
RC Escape yes follow me works OK following the phones gps location.. The quad even spins around to face you :) and and faces your general direction as well. It's the other features I found lacking via the app as it comes up with a error of radius prompt all the time for way point and orbit. I use a bigger 1200mah lipo for extended flight time.. Also I pushed the limits to the range to see if it goes further than 200-300m spec range and it did go to 330m which is good. Feel free to watch my follow me revisited video if you like :) Look forward to your part 2 on this quad.
Wow!! That is good enough for a toy grade quad!!! It is nice that it has failsafe rth so you will not loose this one so long as the battery takes it back home :)
Thanks for your extensive review... you may be the first to show the low voltage RTH! That alone is a terrific feature which could save your butt if the quad was over water,etc. One caution, be sure you are out from under any tree canopy when getting (LOV) "Low on Voltage" because The Feilun Fx176c1 climbs abruptly from the location it is in at that moment (to return to RTH location)... hence, be in the open! I got mine in only 11 days from GB & switched immediately to my 1200 mah Tarantula battery... it fits, weights abt same, and works great AND extends flight time about 4 minutes from stock battery.. Plus Tarantula Batteries are CHEAP! Hope they get the app working so it will bring in Google Maps so it can do the circle me & weigh point features. They say in some parts of the world, Google maps works well on the app & those features work fine. Hopefully the App developer will enable the App to work for the rest of us!! (My app has never crashed) Thanks again for your great review. BTW

Not just for looks. The GPS is actually in the mushroom. For people in comments bitching about flight time at this price just buy a 1200mah 2c lipo JST battery for 10 to 15 dollars.

I'm looking at a video drone (budget hopefully!) for vacation with my family and which would you recommend? I've seen the videos for the Siruo XS809hw and MJX B2W and have a hard time deciding. Compactness for transport is a consideration but video quality, battery life and handling range far exceeds convenience. Please help!
This one should be able to carry a go pro like camera. it will however limit its flying due to the weight. a mobius would be better since it is lighter and still takes great videos :)
I loved everything about that drone except for the flight time I don't like anything that doesn't have at least a 15-minute fight time that's pretty bad 6 minutes leave it at that price they could bump up the flight time I'd love it
BenX Stifer Lol!!! It came with a 700mah and got about 7 minutes which ain't bad. The second flight though with a 500 mah, I got about the same. It's a Beginner GPS unit :) You can't expect too much but for what it is going for, it's pretty good :)
I got mine a few weeks ago I took battery case off and manual said 700 mah but battery said 850 mah! But still battery not so great. Just wanted to tell everyone what I found! Everyone says 700 mah. I guess should be same battery for all! Thanks
James Branch Lol!!! Just cannot trust the manual :). I was trying to open the plastic case for the battery with my finger nails and said "the heck with it!!!" Almost broke a nail!! Haha :) Thanks for letting us know :)
Dean Daniels I know... either the mount has to be secured more and/or the props need to be balanced. This is what you can expect right out of the box :)
