I never used mothballs before but read they would scare off possums (which I cannot stand and are common in our neighborhood). I put mothballs on our back porch and could smell the horrific stink of the mothballs even walking into the house!! I have a really sensitive sense of smell and our house isn’t very big, but I haven’t ever smelled something from the back porch to the front door before! It was enough to drive ME away! 🤣 I love the smell of cloves though.
