So use this moment when he is captured in a row of frames. When Zangief jumps, he has to do the landing-frames. Often you can see short punches before a piledriver. Thats because Zangief is captured in that punching-frames. It's like performing a sho-ryu-ken when you are down and surprise your opponent as soon as you get up. And: double-rotate. Sometimes the computer takes only 1 rotation out of 2, or the computer recognizes only 50% of each move, so you get 100% out of 2 rotations.
Reminds me of old days, where the button combinations to unleash a special move of a fighter in fighting games weren't easily known, the kids kept it as a secret like an important password. I had never figured out how to throw enemies with Zangief special moves although I wanted to do it so bad, until this day I haven't tried it yet.... :(
an awesome version of the game that wasn't included in the 30th anniversary collection. you could pick any of the SF2 versions of any character...……….. Also liked the remixed soundtracks

And there is only ONE arcade ladder in the game, SSF2X (a.k.a. SSF2T). That's why everyone else has their SSF2 portrait while Zangief has his vanilla SF2 portrait.
The grab range is made sense, it wasnt until i think king of fighters 1998 or some crap like that where they brought in grab whiffing animation for fighting games. Here either the grab connects or it doesnt PLUS i think there's frame manipulation by attacking first, if your kick is out there (eg low kick) to the game your close and thus can perform the SPD. In modern SF i think you can do this especially if you use a EX SPD and do it fast

This is the arcade port. You cannot pick the soundtrack. You can only do that in the PS2 and XBox original.

実はこれスクリューパイルドライバーってコマンドが↑←↓→の要素が入ってたら割と自由にコマンド入力できて十字キーかレバーを一回転するとき↑もしくは斜め入力してジャンプするまえにパンチボタン押せばそのまま吸ってくれるっていういわゆる｢立ちスクリュー｣ってやつですね(説明下手ですみません…)
