I must have seen this one at four years old, although I don't remember so directly. Thoughts of young women locked in dark, cold buildings were a strange thought provocation that stayed with me up until I was nine, when it finally and thankfully faded. This IS a thought provoking as well as a chillingly atmospheric episode.
The spooky store takes place in Cleveland, Ohio, for those who pay strict attention to everything, including the dialogue in this episode. Armbruster lets the geographical fact out
I really believe that this story has the potential to be rewritten into a full-blown tv series I'm fascinated to see the wider world of the mannequins and how they live Do they perhaps have a secret society invisible to the human race all across the world? Do they have a philosophy for why they think they're alive? What about mannequins that are dismembered or smashed up? Are they dead? What do they do when their human owners discard them? Do they continue to live as vagrants? How do they feel about being handled by humans? The outsiders? I'm curious to know
