Hi jeff i have done some bladder repairs with pretty good success but you made that look so easy and clearly the prep is the key. Taping on to a piece of plexi looks so easy. Tks so much!!
It’s neither. We have raw aluula sheets to cut and create what we need to do the repair. Depending on the blow out we can make any size aluula tape or pieces.
I never thought such a damage to the bladder could be repaired. Question though. After applying the patch, how does the piece of plastic come out of the bladder and how does the patch not stick to it?
Bought an ocean rodeo flight A-frame. The yellow material on the surface next to the inflate valve is flaking off. Is this something to be concerned about? Guy at the shop convinced me its just cosmetic
Yes, on mine too... I think apart from all the benefits that Aluula offers, durability is the weakness. But it's actually sad when you consider how much money these kites cost ... :/
@daveee5367 i was doing more research and I've actually found out that the yellow flaking off is only UV protective coating! The kite should still be durable and last for quite sometime 🫡
Did I fully understand that this is the manufacturer's scrap and in addition to the problems, the customer would become the owner of such a kinked and broken kite that will no longer be sold to anyone???
No you didn’t understand it correctly. We were paid to warranty repair the kite for Duotone. We work with all the manufacturers because we warranty all our work for the life of the kite.
Please teach your skills to the nxt generation we will always need repairs. Thanks for all you do and sharing your knowledge.

so interesting, thanks Jeff! great vid.
I am curious: how much this repair would cost to a private?
How do you remove the piece of plastic out of the bladder? Thank you for kite repair videos, cheers!
it stays in there.
How much does a repair like this cost?
Love these repair vids Jeff. Keep them coming please. Is that alluula repair tape or is it glued on?

@@kiteboardingcom oh interesting. How do you make tape out of it? Is there double sided backing you can apply to it?
