Damn good review! I've watched a bunch of reviews from people with millions of subscribers who didn't do a good job of clearly explaining the pros and cons of the game. It's on sale now so I think I'll pick it up. Cheers from Boston!
coming from a semi competitive mordhau player/enthusiast who only wants the best for the melee slasher community: I had very high hopes for this game. Not only did I think TBS casual approach to reach a wider audience was beneficial for the game but the entire genre as a whole. I was confident that this game would help to grow the playerbase and attract new people who were previously unfamiliar with these types of games. However it appears to me that Torn Banner has once again pulled a Torn Banner. It just feels like the game is still in beta stage... no way is it worth the price of purchase. This strikes me as a real tragedy considering Deep Silver and Tripwire were behind the project as well. I remain hopeful that they can salvage whatever spark is still there among the casual fans. However, even after the long overdue content update that has finally arrived, I am sad to say I will not be returning to this game.
@@MarksGameReviews oh yea still a tight knit, passionate community... depending where you live you might not have much fun in Pubs but theres a shit load of private discords and servers still super active plus the big name players (who didn't quit) are still around on twitch.
Gee Mark it seams WG and Russian refunds left a dent on your ability to trust a premium shop :P All jokes a side its a good review and I'll look to pick up the game as soon as it goes on sale. I could do me with a bit of hacking and slashing
A fair review. Game isn't worth it for Xbox One original users. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - no FOV Slider - no Brightness Settings - glitched ammunition crates where it wont work half the time - game runs at 20 - 25 fps - long loading times - thrown items have to be inputting by pressing both left and right bumpers at the same time - thrown fire bombs sometimes don't cause fire and fall through the floor - catapult projectiles sometimes don't cause area of effect damage and fall through the floor - thrown items sometimes go through enemies - hit detection or weapons sometimes going through enemies - spawns are terrible especially just after the enemy team captures an objective - no co op or horde mode to level up weapons for skins - connectivy issues / lag spikes - horrendous team balancing, where higher up players are all on one team - stupid ability to switch teams from losing to winning with no penalty - big controller input delay especially when trying to heal or eat food - revives not working half the time, or not even giving the button option to revive someone - audio distortion when too much stuff happens on screen - armours and weapon skins sometimes revert to default when playing in matches - crashes often when too much is happening - when using the archer, to fire the bow, players will need to hold the block button and release, instead of attack button - lack of maps or maps heavily in favour for one side a defender or attacker -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Haha! Well a Yorkshireman and his money are to part at the best of times 😄
Is the game cross platform? Idk if I should buy it cause I don’t wanna buy a dead game haha
Always a worry with multiplayer games, right? I believe it is cross-platform so you should be ok :)
How about trying The Eternal Cylinder?
That looks quite different! Had to go look it up as I hadn't heard of it. The trailer gives it a slight vibe of No Mans Sky with the weird creatures.
@@MarksGameReviews And Spore with an Odd World-ish vibe.
Я бы перекатился в чиву, но тысяча часов в мордхау запрещает мне.
