Thanks CP. I'll count myself lucky. I only have to wait a few seconds between searches on either the Bing app or on my browser. I've never seen the cool down message. Hopefully it stays that way.
For me it's 4 searches work every 15 mins, but even then it's one search every 7 seconds, so basically I have 2 cooldowns. Lots of 15 min timers, lol. I already used all of the things you recommended, but they are great suggestions for anybody not doing them, thanks for the video!

That's what I do, I just go through every single trending news items on the xbox bing app, and then I just do the silly quizzes.
We did have it in the UK but not anymore. I have to say it was incredibly frustrating when the cooldown was operative 😢
You are getting 5 points per mobile search… here in Canada we only get 3 points.
I have another tip, if one searches tv shows that have MULTIPLE seasons… do a search for each episodes name - repeat the search but add “cast”, “guest stars” or “quote(s)” on the end… it works well - basically give 4 searches for 1 episode!
In the uk it’s 90 and 60 totals and only 3 points per search. So far I rarely do genuine searches I always just type in a series of random letters or numbers and it works for me.
Same in canada
I have about a 5-10 second cool down between searches, takes a bit longer but still getting the points for now.
I've noticed that. Now I have to do it all day to get the 250 daily points.
My mobile searches havnt worked for ages but just saw your video and tried again using the edge app and its working again😊. Thanks for sharing

I'm in the UK and at the moment there's about a 5 second delay between searches on desktop and mobile for me
It was implemented in Canada for a while but it appears they've taken it away.
On another note - on my account I've been getting these weird freezes on rewards stating I can only earn points in a single country. After a day or 2 it unlocks again but I'm not quite sure why that keeps happening.
It happened again today - says "Oops! Looks like you are on the go. Microsoft Rewards offers are available in one country/region day."
I did a support request and they weren't very helpful and I definitely didn't leave the country. Very odd.
I use a combo of trending searches and suggested searches. if you start to type characters in the search menu suggestions will show up in the drop down. I just click on those, rinse and repeat. Takes a little more time than it used to, but still pretty quick.
I've had this pretty much from the beginning. Super annoying! I'm able to do 4 searches every 15 minutes and I've found that as long as I don't just do the 4 searches as quickly as possible I typically get credit for all 4. If I do them too quickly sometimes I won't get credit for all of them. This goes for both desktop and mobile but it seems to be a little worse on mobile. I usually do trending on mobile as well.
Man I really hope they revert this change. I'm tempted to just stop with the searches but it's hard to give up on 250 points per day. Besides I kind of feel like if I do they win lmao
Thanks CP ( you do get a lot more reward points than us here in the UK)…..I just type in a letter from the keyboard (q, qq, w,ww etc) on both mobile and for desktop I just use the iPad….get 3 points each time for every character
Interesting. I tried this morning here in the US. Single letters aren't working and the 15 minute cooldown appears to still be in place. So it sounds like they're still making changes and have some inconsistent behaviors for the search.
Interesting. Have not had that message yet or any noticeable “cool down” time. When starting each day I get that same delayed count for first 3 searches but then it goes as usual without delay or cooldown. I’m in Canada though so only 3pts per search and maybe the cooldown hasn’t rolled out here yet.

Amazing guide. Sad part it is, what took 5 minutes, now take 3 hours 13 minutes. Weekly game quest gone so that sucks more, as i don't get to watch a video from this channel each week.

Desktop searches count on the Bing or Edge Apple iPad app I’ve found as well as on PC

I use the edge browser on my console. It's got a points counter at the top, and I can access the daily set, and any extra point listings (puzzle, quizzes, whatever). My cooldown is 5 seconds. I know the search worked because I can see the counter go up.

Did your bing searches not work at first or counted?
My search uses the 'ribbon' at the top of the first search result. Like if you search for 'dog breeds' you get a ribbon at the top of the search results with a picture of each dog breed. Click on that. The ribbon stays, so click on the next dog. And next. Continue doing that. That way, you don't need to type. You can do other searches like 'cast of friends' and it'll have a ribbon of the actors that you can click through. I used to have the 15 minute cooldown, but that went away, but I still have the 7 second cooldown between each search, so I have to count to 7 before clicking on the next dog picture.
My rewards breakdown between the app and pc are separated somehow. On bing app it says 0/150 pc 100/100 mobile but then on pc when I click rewards breakdown 150/150 pc 0/100 mobile... kinda weird that it's not putting them both together like

I had no idea they implemented a cool down for searches... they're making the program worse with every change. I'm only getting like half the points I used to, and because of the cool down, to get points by searching I've had to completely change the way I do everything. I'm guessing that eventually you won't even be able to get points unless you have a game pass sub as more and more is going that way. Extremely disappointing. 😒
I've never got a timer but I'm from Mexico and for what I can ysee we get less points a day so maybe that's why who knows. But thanks for the heads up.
Yeah here is the problem like you search to get 20 points maximum and after that you dont get points anymore, you need to wait at least 20 minutes to search again any idea how to fox this. And I am a mobile user by the way
No way to fox it. And I believe it's only 15 minutes. I haven't heard of anyone having a 20 minute cooldown, but let me know if this is incorrect. 😊🏅
I never had slowdown. Even still able to click right through 30 search links on console without issue. However one thing I DO NOT do is search back to back using similar keywords. I use Google if want to really see details on a different color electric car.

Mine is rarely working. I get like 20 points a day. I gave up on searching!
I haven't seen the cool down message but I do have to wait between searches. I used to be able to middle mouse click the suggested searches at the bottom for quick easy points.

I typically type in a sequence of numbers. For example 1111, search, delete one of the digits, so 111, search, delete to 11, search, delete to 1, search and there are your four for that 15 minutes.
I'm surprised that's working for you honestly. I feel like I've heard from a lot of people who have previously been typing in random strings of letters haven't been receiving points for that. 😊🏅
I do this every morning on my laptop type 1 have cursor on the bing search bar press the left button type another 1 press enter continue process.
So in the end it looks like 1111111111111111111111111.

What’s weird is I had no cooldown, then got the 15 min cooldown and despaired. But I followed its terms, persevered, and still got all my points. And now I’m back to no cooldown! Well, I count to five between searches, but other than that…
I have the 15 mins cool down but there’s times where my searches won’t count for a whole day. Usually Mondays don’t work for me.
For me (I've accumulated near 300,000 award points for 2023) I've found that I've only received the cool down when I get to 20,000 points or higher at any given time within the last month. I recently spent my points and am at 7,000 and have not had the cooldown.
I had the 15 min cooldown for a long time but it recently went to the 7 ish seconds. Also I'm not sure if just a Canada thing or what, but my searches have only been worth 3 since I started a year and a half ago. And a max of 90 and 60 for desktop and mobile searches.
for me, if I use the being app and search, I still get all the points on pc search I do it on my iPad and I just use the Bing app and then for mobile points i use my phone on the Bing app and I still get all my points
I did have the cool down, but now it appears to have gone for me? Very strange...
Daily activities passed to 5/10 point to 1/2 points for a week or two. Now they returned to 5/10 🙂

I don’t seem to have the 15 min cooldown, I always search for the names of sports teams including city and have consistently not gotten any cooldowns at all on pc and mobile.
Every 2nd day, single letters seem to work as a search. q, w, e, r, t etc...
Otherwise I keep my searches short, example : hat, cat, mat, rat...Frog, sheep, lamb, toad...god, dog, log, smog... Seems to work really well, and quickly.
I'm in New Zealand, we don't have the cool down yet.
I just type a long search and delete 1 letter every 5 seconds and have no issues. On phone and desktop. Used to I could do it as fast as I could delete the letter
I have not experienced the slowdown but I am using Edge on my phone to do the searches

Hey Chicken Possible, by any chance you heard of the "Oops looks like you are on the go" error and how to fix to it? You see I bought a second hand Microsoft surface table and put my rewards account on it and now the system thinks I left the states or something. I always look forward to any of your helpful videos, Thank you so much if you see this or for any ideas to resolve the issue.

I'm from UK I don't need to wait for a cooldown but I get less points daily than US😂 I've accumulated practically the same amount of points chickens got but I've spent them on the go over about a year and a half

I use my xbox for the 150 points and then for mobile I just look at the same articles they give you on Xbox haven't had any cool downs.

Yeah, it's been broken for quite a while. I recommend just clicking the Feedback link at the bottom every few days and letting them know it's still broken. I've also filed a support request form about it and supposedly they're looking into it. 😊🏅
I can’t get my searches on bing app on my phone to count
4:00 I use bing app and i opened 20 tabs with 20 search. Every day i simply reopen all 20 tabs (one by one with 5 seconds colldown).

how is the bing app letting you get 330 points?? i =ve done mine daily for ages and its always been 180/day (60app searches, 90 desktop, plus few other clickables). Im in canada maybe thats the difference? Also I only get 3 points per search

Are you signed in with your account? If you are, the mobile points can be a little finicky. Give it a couple of tries with 15 minute delays in between attempts. You should hopefully start racking up some points. 😊🏅

That's the number of points here in the US, but it varies per country.

I believe it’s 45 dailies. So it has to be a combination of playing Game Pass games and getting achievements. Roughly 15 achievements per month if you’re at least starting up a game once per day. 😀🏅

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones that has a cooldown of a few seconds. Also, I have a very simple approach to my daily searches: one day, I'll search for numbers on pc (ie. 1, 2, 3, etc) and letters on phone (ie. q, w, e, etc), and then the next day I'll swap (ie. numbers on phone and letters on pc, swapping to higher range numbers like 60+ once i've gone through the alphabet). Means I don't have to be constantly thinking of new things to search, and I've never had an issue with not getting points.
One thing I have noticed hasn't been working recently has been the daily points widget on the MSN gaming page on Edge. I click it and it opens up a new page, but I don't get any points and if I refresh the gaming page, it shows as if I haven't completed it. Any ideas about that?
