The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens

The Living Desert is an AZA accredited zoo and conservation center whose mission is desert conservation through preservation, education, and appreciation. Founded in 1970 by Karen Sausman, The Living Desert is dedicated to conservation efforts locally and around the world. Our multi-faceted conservation programs include financial commitments, community education, on-site programming, field work, and collaborative partnerships.
Our unwavering commitment to conservation is at the heart of what we do; it has been for over 45 years. We are dedicated to educating our guests about the incredible animals and plants that call the desert home, while informing them that all of us working together can make a difference. Our staff work tirelessly to provide the highest level of care to our animals on a daily basis.

Hello! I'm a biologist and I work at a zoo in Brazil. I would like to know why the zoo closes at 13:30 pm in the summer. in June I will visit you.
How many animals do you have in the Zoo? and how many species? I really want to meet the cat margarita.

Just making money, That's it!!!
All living beings on this earth have equal
rights, the rights to live and also the rights to
enjoy whatsoever is available on this planet.
Animal rights are the rights that animals
should entitle for their existence in moral
value and basic fundamental protections just
like we human beings!!!
For learning more about them for the children, absolutely there are a lot of situations by the fair ways in this century without violation of the animals rights!
