Heera wasn’t just heera by name , They shined and sparkled in the Bhangra world 💎💎💎glad to be living in that era💖💖💖real Bhangra legends ,they defined the definition of Bhangra .
Those few of us that remain love these songs, however the younger generation has forgotten that these songs have significant meaning to us Punjabis living in England, in that time there was onli the Bollywood stuff such as lata mangeshkar, and all that i can't remember the rest and then the 1980's came and Bhangra travelled in with it bringing us Kalapreet, Heera, Apna Sangeet, Premi, Alaap etc etc
Best Bhangra group with one of the best albums "Diamonds from Heera"ever! Kumar and Dhami are so talented. This is true Punjabi Bhangra and not the diluted western version of Bhangra that we have today.
desibhangraholic - well said man - us born in balart had to listen to punk, reggae, ska & these boys gave us our own recognition & links with our beloved PUNJAB
this was one song that kept playing throughout my parents wedding! im gona say its 1985-ish. the video effects seem to match that time too! its a classic
no one cn compete to melna de naal aayee mitron ... is to vadia song nahi suneya .. aaiyaan uhnu kachiyaan trailiyaan khada vekh samne oh haani ... tooooo gd
legends! Reminds me of an all nighter called bhangra beat at the town n country club where over 10 groups came Alaap, apna sangeet, heera, achanak, malkit, premi etc it waz mental. They jus dont do em like that any more.
This is how the band was before Deepak Kazanchi got his hands on them and used them as his vehicle. They were 'folky'. I preferred them then. Many nights in London in the early 80s I saw them play in town halls and student unions. I felt this was better 'style' than dressing up in tinsel.
Used them? Heera did alright out of it too! Cool and Deadly is a brilliant album with Deepak Kazanchi's production style and guitar work. Bhangra Fever 1 and Bhangra Fever 2 are also classics.
@@redroadstar2366 A lot of people think that, but I think it is a generational thing. The 'pop' style mainly appealed to younger teens, adult fans like myself often appreciated the more folky style. It was the slide towards over-produced studio sounds which I think killed the bands generally. The younger fans coming up wanted sound effects, samples and the DJs to supply them. There was less interest in people playing live music, which also cost more to hire anyway. So the demand dried up and live music withered away. Now the kids just seem to like rap and Hip Hop styles, which are really just American music whatever language is used.
My surname is Hira but some people in my family spell it as heera sometimes but I wonder if these guys could be my pindu maybe but whoever uploaded this song I would like to say many thanks because this song takes me back
vhira you really are an old dense has been Try for once to read a comment and respond to it They mainly sing about jatt life culture ethos values Not about bean contingent or begging
Thank you for your kind words, it's just that people like H-Dhami are as insignificant as the colour of the tissue i used 2 blow my nose, however these tunes have significance as they were trailblazers for Us Punjabis like you rightfully said across the nation i'm not here hating on anything i'm just telling it how it is and i think slowly our music is being belittled by women in Skimpy-Clad clothing as opposed 2 wearing sarees n doing gidha our Bhangra is a music of Profound Rigteousness
@JaydedSoulja Yeah his dad is a famous singer and it easy for him to become a singer. However thats not how he became famous at all. It was nothing to do with his dad. H loved singing and always was singing but he'd never taken it seriously until rishi rich heard him sing. Rishi rich was the reason why H became famous. Don't get me wrong, H is nowhere as good as his dad and you are right about him getting more fame than he deserves from girls but he isn't famous due to his dad being famous xxx
brilliant comment, acts like H etc. are washed out...dilluting the scene...and it all sounds the same...im not saying it sounds shit, but its not as good as the old stuff and if you hear the beats they're too similiar...
dont think he's be a good model either though considering his height and build...him and imran khan get bitches attention because they are probably the only normal looking lads in bhangra...i mean you seen some of the cats and the way they dress, do their hair etc. lol
