Happy New Year Sheri and hubby, may 2025 be an amazing year. Love diamond paintings, but really don’t have a lot of time. I’m a knitter and crocheter, busy making and selling items, this keeps me calm and relaxed. I do suffer from anxiety, I worry about some stuff. My prayers for you my friend, get healthy and be happy. Love seeing you back. 🇨🇦❤️🙏🏼
Hi, Barbie! I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying your needlework, too. It definitely helps. Thank you for your kind comment. Have a beautiful day! 🤗♥️
Dear Shirl, I can relate with you, having struggled with my mental health for many years. The only thing that has worked for me is intensive talking therapy - counselling. That doesn't make me feel happy clappy all the time but has allowed me to function through the dark times and know it will pass. I, too, can relate to skipping Christmas 🎄 🙃 , good for you 🎉. Thank you for sharing sending you kind thoughts 🙏 ❤️
Hi, Jill! I'm so happy you found what has worked for you. I'm a firm believer that it does take time and effort to find what is best for ourselves. We are definitely worth it! Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day! ♥️
Good to see you. It is amazing how listening to your story, was like you were talking about me. Including your decision for Christmas in 2024. I am looking forward to see your projects and thank you for sharing your journey. It is my sincere hope that you and your family have a fantastic 2025. We are here for you!❤
Hello sunshine! So glad to see you. I totally understand about Christmas. I haven't put up a tree since 2004 when my beloved mother, my best friend passed away. She put put up trees in every room. I just can't do it as this was something we always did together. I miss her so much and get very depressed at Christmas time. I'm so sorry you battle depression. Don't feel bad, you are an awesome person. Thank you for sharing this as I've wanted to learn this forever. Hugs my friend!❤️
Hi, sweet lady. I can definitely relate. My Mom was my best friend, and losing her changed my life. I'm sure your Mama is with you every day and watching over you. (((BIG HUGS))) ❤️
Shirl, share with me what you read or did that sent you on this seasonal journey of life. I’m 75 and would LOVE to try it. Love reinventing and cleaning up my mind!! (House is another cluttered mess that I do NOT WANT to leave for someone to clean out!! I WANT TO DO IT!!) You truly are impactful to me and I’ve been with you since your early start!! Congrats on over 8,000!!🥳👏☺️🥰
Hi, Dorothy! I just happened upon a few UA-cam videos discussing Seasonal Living and did more research about it. After learning about it, I decided it may be something I need to do. My goal is to just embrace every moment that I have left and live to the fullest! I so agree about how cleaning up can be a challenge in itself. But a day at a time, sweet lady! (((BIG HUGS)))
So glad to see you and thank you for sharing your struggles, I know that can't be easy. As moms and caregivers, we try to put on the facade that everything is wonderful, even when it's far from it. I also have struggled with depression and anxiety, but have never really admitted it to anyone other than my doctor. It really does help to know that we're not alone in our struggles. I'm praying for you and am excited to see the adventures that the Lord leads you and your hubby on this year! I've been re-watching some of your older videos about planning and junk journaling because they really inspire me to try some new things. Ps- the comment you made about the retail therapy being a distraction really hit home for me. I'd never really thought about it.. but I, too, went overboard and now have too much! But I've made a goal (not resolution) to have a no-spend year except for necessities. I need to value and appreciate all that I already have! I'm actually looking forward to it.. though scared to fail because I know it is a vice for me. Anyway, I pray that you have a wonderful new year filled with blessings!!
Hi, sweet lady. Thank you so very much for your comment. I think we have a lot of the same thoughts and feelings. It's nice to know that someone can relate to what you're going through. You are exactly right about putting on a smile when that's the last thing you feel like doing. And yes, the shopping! It's more of the fun of the expectation for me. I love getting and opening those bags! Then I have to figure out what to do with the "stuff!" 🤔 Have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for being here.
@arewethereyetajsm I agree, love getting the packages- it's like Christmas! I even love the sound if the plastic bags! 😁 I think I have enough stickers and washi now to cover just about every item that I own! 🤣
Hi, Jan! I'm so sorry you have suffered through so much. 😔 I hope you're finding some little smile to brighten each of your days. We all need that sunshine! 🌞 (((BIG HUGS))) sweet one!
Hi, Shirl. Good to see you. Please know I am sorry you're going through these hard times. I have suffered with depression for many years and on medication as well. It's been 9 years since my husband went to be with the Lord. I miss him everyday and more especially around this time of year. I didn't even put up a tree this year either. I should have been so excited as I became a great-grandma in August and this was his first Christmas. We did get together with family but I really didn't even want to go out.. Also, I usually watch the Hallmark movies but felt more sad. I need new glasses too and so haven't done any scrapbooking lately. I appreciate you sharing the planners and journals and I pray they will help me get on track. God cares for each and every one of us and has a plan for us. I will be praying for you and that God will stay near to us.❤
I have the same "what is going on" forehead wrinkles 😂❤ I'm going to try the relaxing exercise you mentioned 👍 I can relate to so much of what you talk about. I'm interested in learning more about Seasonal living. Thanks for sharing. Sending you positive thoughts.❤❤❤
I felt listening to you that I was listening to myself. Remember you are never alone. I'm here to listen should you ever need to vent. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Yay i am so glad to see you again. I missed you. Man i had a year also my husband got in an accident and as a result had a massive stroke. All kinds of bad things happened after. I thought he was going to die. Praise God he made it. He is home and while he still isn’t able to get around well he is healing and mentally he came through unscathed. I have friends that are going through stuff. It’s happening all over. I said all that to say you are not alone. We are all going through stuff. Maybe that helps to know others get it. We relate. Anyway I am glad you are crafting. Cross stitch has been saving my sanity though 2024. 😊 ❤u sis.
Oh, Melinda, sending (((HUGE HUGS))) to you! I hope your husband continues to get stronger every day, and that you both have a wonderful year ahead. Thank you so much for your support! ♥️
I can totally relate to everything you have been going thru. I'm currently going thru it myself. Meds not working, worry about my grown kids, financial troubles, didn't want to do Christmas, job stressing me out, etc. And my youngest daughter is expecting my 1st grandbaby in March, I'm over the moon happy, but she lives over 2 hrs away and I have myself convinced that I will never see the baby. I pray that you will have a better 2025 and send you love and hugs ❤
Aw, Tami...hang in there, mama. We can only do what we can do. Please take care of yourself first. You can't pour from an empty cup. Sending big (((HUGS))) of support and love! 🤗🤗🤗
You and I are just alike. I have been going through depression this last year. I didn’t even do Christmas last year. And it broke my heart. But yes I have ups and downs. I’m not being treated or talking to anyone. I will though if it gets worse. I just keep stitching lol… I hope to see you soon!!!!!
Thank you for sharing this with us. I have a feeling I’m depressed. I’m still the care giver for my parents and it takes its toll. I did t out a tree up this year at my house since I’m not there very much anymore. My husband is so understanding though.
I miss you gurrrlll!! Last year my mental health was trash. From Thanksgiving on especially I really struggled with living. I'm praying for you as well that we can have a peaceful 2025 regardless of life circumstances. If you want to ever chat and dp together let me know!! Xoxo
Salvation, Jesus and Heaven is the whole point of our life and in the end that is really all that matters cause in the end that is all that is gonna matter, we are thankful for the family and friends Jesus has given us along the way and the strength we draw from one another! Always remember it's OK to not be OK just rely on Jesus' help and strength and he will help us take our steps we all will be here if you need the break!! I enjoy you Sherl ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy New Year. ❤❤❤❤❤Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤❤ What you said I can relate to too. ❤❤❤❤❤ The diamond painting will look beautiful when you finish it.❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your truth and honesty. I too struggle with depression and also anxiety. I continue with counseling and meds, yet still feel I have days such as you described feeling like a "blob" but not sure if it's here to stay or just a brief visit. I look forward to hearing more about your seasonal living and cannot express how grateful i am for your braveness in sharing your story. Much love sent your way❤❤❤
I am praying for you, I have been going through sever/chronic depression for about five years. You describing yourself sounds a lot like me. I know some people just don't understand and think you should just not think of it and get up and going!!! God bless and keep you and help in your healing.
Exactly, Pattie. It's hard to explain how we feel to someone who hasn't been there. Take time for YOU and make sure you're gentle with yourself. Sending hugs and support! ♥️🤗
Hi, Mary! Not yet, but we will be that way in June for the birth of our first grandbaby. If you're closeby, maybe we can have lunch! Thank you for watching, and Happy New Year!
I'm so looking forward to learning more from you. It sounds so heartwarming and it is something I desperately need in my life. God bless you and happy new year to you all and your family!!!
Happy 2025! So nice to see your sweet face the first day of the year. :-) I understand and can relate to your battle with depression since it is something I fight constantly as well. Kudos to you on standing up for your feelings and skipping the whole Christmas season. Being dragged through the holidays pretending all is great and wonderful in the world is so draining and only adds to the depression. Diamond painting gets me through my dark times and is my escape from the world around me. Square drills are my favorite but I do all types (round, square, crystals, AB's, and so on). For the last few months I have gotten away from large canvases concentrating on individual projects instead. (coasters, calendar, cards, serving trays and other non-canvas projects) I like your goal of trying to get 2 large ones done this year. I have one picked out for sure and look forward to picking a second one once the first is done. Take care and tfs.
Hi, Susan! You are so right about the pretending being absolutely exhausting. I'm hopeful that the genuine spirit is with me this year and I can have that Christmas magic once again. I am sending you (((BIG HUGS))) for a wonderful year ahead, my diamond friend! 💎 💙
Hi! I typically work on it 2-3 times a week for a few hours each time, so it will probably take me 6-8 months to finish it. It all depends on how much time you put into it. Some people finish one this size in a few weeks. Thank you for visiting with me! ♥️
Happy new year! It's always good to see and hear what you've been up to! I have to say, you're not alone in your thoughts about having an existential crisis. I wonder if it's our age (we're about the same age.) For me, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. 🪡👠
Hey, lady! So good to see you! I definitely think that our age makes us put things into perspective. All of our life experiences help us decide what's really important. I always appreciate hearing from you. Have a blessed New Year! 🤗❤️
So good seeing you again! And I am glad you put together a retreat for yourself. Best thing you could do. You look happy and that makes me happy. ❤️
LOVE IT!! Looks like you two!!! Especially with the owl on your bedroom wall!! (Cute!)☺️🥳
So glad you are feeling better … missed you. You put words to the way I feel😢
Hi, Barbara. We'll get through a day at a time. Sending love and (((HUGS))) ♥️🤗
