    "Every child deserves to get attention from their parents..." Dear Adam,, isn't it allowed to say "their" when we don't know if the child is a girl or boy in this example?

    Can we use personal pronouns (i me my) in essay ??

      No , you can't because it's an academic writing. So using personal pronouns won't give a look of formal writing.

    Thank you, Adam, for the overview. Though on 11:30 I guess the writer used "their" on purpose as a singular pronoun without gender
