@@annep.1905 Well bless their little pea picking hearts! The day we stop killing poisonous snakes anywhere we find them is the day America died. I was once on a trip with a buddy of mine named Henry Miller when suddenly a venomous snake bit him in his private areas. I immediately called emergency and they told me that the best way would be to suck out the venom from it's entry wound to win some time before the medics arrive. That was 6 months ago, R.I.P. Henry Miller, you were a good friend 😢.
Watching this after a King Cobra bite my face 1 min ago. Hopefully this video can help me to survive, I will update you all if this works in about 30 mins.
If you live in America please disregard number 4. America deals with mostly pit vipers (rattle snakes, copperhead, moccasins). The bite area should be elevated above heart level as soon as possible so the fluids cannot build up in that area which will lead to a more seriously affected area around the bite wounds. When you get to the hospital, the staff should and hopefully will for your sake immediately elevate the bite area as they begin other treatment steps as well.
@Jean A, you should raise your limbs to help keep the venom from pooling in the bite area, which will make the bite area much worse. Nearly all credible snake bit specialists recommend elevating the area as soon as feasibly possible.
@Jean A if you can, yes. It is best to elevate the bite area as soon as you possibly can, and when you get to the hospital, the doctors should elevate it immediately as well.
I love this channel. In one episode of snakes they advice to apply tourniquet, in this one they say not to do this (which is proper advice). This speaker saying most of the time worst ideas of surviving (which often starts from "dont be in such situation") is bigger fun than modern stand ups.
The tourniquet is still useful for elapids with neurotoxic venom . Never put one on a viper bite because they have cytotoxic, haemotoxic venom which destroys tissue causing necrosis.
Since they basically say "don't do anything," even though some of this advice was standard for centuries, I see no harm in trying to ice a bite. Personally, I would try to suck venom out - at least if it was a rattlesnake bite.
The snake with the deadliest venom is the Inland taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus) The snake that kills the most people is the Saw-scaled viper (Echis carinatus)
@@Celtic-Texan I am fully aware of these facts. I did not say the most venomous or causes most deaths. The black mamba is known to be the most dangerous due to so many factors such as: Its the second longest venomous snake in the world. It's the fastest snake in the world. Its venom can kill a human within 30 minutes. It can strike you so many times and you wont know a thing. It lives close to humans and often confronts them. Not forgetting that the black Mamba is highly aggressive compared to the Inland Taipan. All of these factors make the Black Mamba the worlds most dangerous snake.
Yo i reccomend reading you some articles about how to fight dogs. If it is small smaah it to the ground. If it is big, smash it with stones on it's head. Very strongly and brutal
With all these "don'ts" comes anecdotal accounts which may or may not be indicative that certain things do not work. Maybe sucking venom out of a wound is the right thing to do for a rattlesnake bite, but not a cobra one. Maybe first aid treatment should differ from snake to snake. Maybe a tourniquet or pressure bandage should be applied for a neurotoxic venomous snake bite (e.g. cobra), but not a hemotoxic (e.g. rattlesnake) one. Doctors don't know everything; nor does the maker of this video.
Sounds like there's not much you can do once you are bitten except head to the hospital. My advice, snake boots in snake country and don't tempt fate by showing off to friends. "Watch this" are the last words some fools will say when attempting to do something stupid.
let me tell you a joke...two guys in the jungle...one of them was bitten by a snake (by his d$%ck)...the other one calls the doctor...the doctor says :you must suck the venom....the first guy asks what the doctor said...his friend :you gonna die
Do you want to become immune to poison? Become a true christian..becoming a true believer will give you supernatural powers like healing abilities and immunity to poison and casting out demons. But its very hard to get this ability . In order to get this ability you must become holy and repent of your sins annd accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour.

In some states it is illegal to kill a snake, even a poisonous one! It is a crazy world today.

Carry a snake bite extractor.
Have one, they come with a blade to cut yourself and bleed some of the venom out.
These units are good to use on spider bites that are very fresh. Only scratch skin no cutting & vac cup. Still need med attention asap !
These are all what's not to do, so what is supposed to do?

You didnt mention advice n6: always wear a mongoose with you when you expect snakes

Always wear long shows where snakes are there and if you see them kill it as fast as u can
