As a “recording artist”, this whole conversation encapsulates exactly what it’s like being a creative (in any creative setting/environment). There’s no blue print on what you have to do or whatever, a lot of it is trial & error & improvement along the way. I’m beyond proud of my big brother Jason. He gets it. Loved this interview!
Great show butcher has been one of my favourite artists for absolutely years now and seeing how chilled he is in life is brilliant, loving these Monday shows. Cheers guys 👍
Great invite Paul.. 2010 he was one a the artists that portrait artists llooked at and was like WOW.. I lived very close to him, immortal ink one side of the street & Prizeman at Eternal across the road..plus others like Leigh Oldcorn up the road in Colchester.. memories, hours soent studying their realism execution.. the time ive taken staring at Jasons tattoos and his other art prob equates to a short sentence 😂.. i think hes right, his art captures an emotion, shame in a way that a guys style cant stay as his anymore.. the internet, though a great tool has made everything way to accessible.. i used to love getting a copies of the various tattoo mags.. this guy had way more of an i.pact on b&g realism internationally, than he gets credit. Thanks for the interview, really enjoyed it
One of the first things an old friend of mine who's been tattooing about thirty years said to me when I said I wanted to learn to tattoo was "You have to have the right music going, you can't tattoo and flow unless the vibe is right"
Absolutely brilliant! Listening to you guys feels like we’re a part of the conversation. I’m trying to find the members button so I can join but cant see it
