  • Everest expedition 1953, 11.30 am May 29th, 1953 Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hilary reach the highest point on the surface of the earth, MT EVEREST.
This video is in memory of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, Any rights are of their respective owners.
These men were the true heroes, they scaled Everest with very basic needs, no fixed ropes, not any external help, they deserve all our respect.
Finally, the 9th British expedition became a successful Everest expedition for the very first time.
Following his ascent of Everest, Hillary devoted much of his life to helping the Sherpa people of Nepal through the Himalayan Trust, which he founded in 1960 and led until his death in 2008. Through his efforts, many schools and hospitals were built in this remote region of the Himalayas.
Today, climbers are motivated by the ego, People have money and they think money can do everything and running to break stupid records for the stupid cause of personal satisfaction.

No footage on the summit. Did they really summit? Highly unlikely.

@@johnwantling well there is no reason for them to lie is my proof.
Why would they lie about summiting when they failed the first attempt and did not claim about climbing

@@saltylevi2672 There are plenty reasons why they should lie. That expedition was highly political. Also, do you have the picture of Hillary on the summit? I don't think that you do. Perhaps he wasn't on the summit, hence no picture. My guess is they reached the Hillary Step and could not climb it, so they turned back. That is possible.

@@johnwantling I don't know much about the expedition so I'm not gonna blabber stuff.
However they were very experienced with their and I personally believe both of them submitted.
