I have been watching your channel for a while, and I have to say it is very impressive that you NEVER seem to catch yourself or camera in any reflections. With all the mirrors and windows. That is impressive lol.
IT would be, if it had any exterior storage. Instead you end up turning the back of your truck into storage for living supplies. which completely defeats the reason to full time in a travel trailer.
Phenomenal by far the best camera I’ve ever seen. My only nitpick would be the bathroom, limited amount of storage and the placement of a toilet would be nice to see that redone so it could be easier to install a composting toilet.
@@cubemissy yes it does make into a bed. And no we have not had any overnight guests. We just use it as a place to keep some extra blankets and pillows right now.
Honestly I haven't seen a newer Jayco that I don't love. They just trim out their rigs so well, their layouts actually make sense, and they always feel so spacious.
I love it when the kitchen and living areas are conjoined. I can work on dinner while chatting with my friends and not be trapped in another space all by myself. It's great that this design is an option.
It is beautiful. Blackout shades - those can be substituted in. My two quibbles: The couch / recliners are around a corner from each other, which make sight lines difficult if you’re trying to have a conversation, and I am guessing it also means only the couch is available for guest sleeping. The other thing is my pet peeve.. Where do I put my glasses at night? I don’t feel safe laying them down somewhere I can’t immediately get to in an emergency. Nightstands, or hanging shelf/pouch at least.
This is lovely...however im a bit of a stickler for having the living room be just the reverse of this LOL! My open range has lots of contrast like this one bc i literally had to go in and paint it! Everything was wood and brown and just so dark!!! Have some of the original wood accents like the slide frames and the countertop over the fireplace etc. Its open and airy and comfy now 😊
This is one of my favorite models, that you've shown on your channel. Super nice inside, and really good value given what the actual transaction price is likely going to be. Even though I hold a bit of a different opinion over what's "half-ton towable" and what's not, I'm 100% in agreement with you on this one. This trailer is far too heavy and a bit too long for a half-ton to handle. 3/4 ton with a gas engine would probably be okay from safety perspective, but a diesel would pull the load with a bit more grace and dignity.
WOW 🤩!!!! What a Beautiful Trailer!! I too am Amazed at the interiors trim work and design. I would hope there’s a option for the day and night shades. I was a full time RV’er and from experience, it’s an important feature. Thanks 🙏 for continuing to bring Awesome 👏🏻 videos! Keep up the great 👍 work!!! ❤️🥰💖👍💞👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
EXCELLENT coverage! Great rig! And, THANK U for your info re '1/2 ton' trucks vs. Diesel, etc! Real helpful! And note: saw re Vid re folks 'hatin on ya re 1/2ton trucks' - what morons - I have learned so much from you re 1/2ton vs 3/4 vs 1ton vs dually, gas vs diesel, etc.! You are the MOST thorough & reputable of anyone on Utube! Thx again! And, keep the Vids coming! Am so excited about joining the RV crowd! Regards from Las Vegas ...
This is darn near perfect! My only question is.... when lounging in recliners, is the island in the way of seeing the TV? First thing to chk out if I ever get to tour in person. I think if you have the island and stools, why not put in a desk where dinette is, or leave dinette and remove part of the island, (make it smaller), giving you more space????? Something to think about.
I get a chuckle out of the tiny ball coupler compaired to the massive frame. The couplers just dont look like they can support/pull a trailer that massive, but somehow they do lol. Gogeous unit tho.
Jayco definitely has a great lineup! I have a 2018 Jayco jay flight 33rbts that I was wondering if you could do a review on a 33rbts Because I’d like to learn more about it.
I like the framed windows for circulation! It’s huge!! I’m just thinking of the closet space and the washer/dryer situation… other than that it’s beautiful!!! 😊
This could be a great layout if only they had flipped the kitchen/living room mirror image. I just don't understand why manufactures keep putting the windowless wall towards ones own campsite while giving a wall of windows to look out at your neighbor.
Wow that's a hefty price tag for a camper. I mean if you have the dough go for it but for a full-time camper like me, I bought my Keystone Cougar for 29k. The only thing I can ask out of that is a bigger bathroom but that wouldn't be worth the $50,000 jump lol
Interesting floor plan, and as you mentioned very "5th wheel" like for a bumper pull. Do you see a trend going more towards bumper pulls instead of 5ers? I think people need to think about access during travel days with the slides in. Kitchen would be inaccessible, but bathroom would be usable. And, once again JD you are the master of avoiding mirrors! LOL...Pre-staging the medicine cabinet to be slightly open...classic! LOL. Always a pleasure to watch your content! :-)
I was thinking about the slide-in situation. I wonder if a floorplan change couldn't have put the refrigerator in a more accessible location making this floorplan, basically, perfect.
@@StevenLeeMiller Normally I'd be upset with no fridge access too but thanks to the outside kitchen I'd pack travel day lunches and snacks in the outside fridge and maintain full functionality
Question: How long can I take a hot shower while at a camp site connected to fresh water hose? The Gas water heater is small, but is there a limit to how long it will continue to provide hot water before water turns warm and cold? 5 - 10 minutes???
I really like this model except the kitchen faucet is separated with the cooking stove. Would be great if there's no separation especially cooking would be make a lot easier.
I’m looking for a RV thats dependable over accessories . Roof , slide outs , and flooring . Yet Jayco so far has the better ratings construction . With a better warranty.
Kind of a nimrod moment when they put the floor vent right as you step out of the shower... I really get lost on all these rv manufacturer's that are using 3 panel sliding shower doors. Those things are total dirt traps on the bottom track.. other than that I'd say a heck of a nice unit
For such a huge size, I don't like not having a full size sofa. Just a small 2 seat sofa. Also the double theater recliners, one of them is almost in front of the kitchen island. Not centered w/the tv entertainment center. Very small living "room" area for a massive trailer.
Finally no carpet in the main area and entry way. If a person wants carpet they can cut a rug up to fit. When we want linoleum we dont get an easy choice
I watch alot of rv showing like this and the only thing i would love if everybody showing these rvs would tell us just how much the sale price or even dealership price would be.
Could you pull this with a RAM 2500 Heavy Duty turbo diesel? A simply beautiful trailer, nice bathroom, but once again little room next to the bed. I have a fake knee. And with the small space next to the bed it is hard to make the bed and get in and out. I don't think it's overpriced there are trailers where you get a lot less for a higher price.
Great trailer! I love the roominess of the bedroom, bathroom and living areas. Question, JD, why would a consumer purchase this travel trailer over a 5th wheel?
No steps to deal with, bedroom ceiling is taller then a 5th wheel. Lighter, truck bed for storage with a bed cover. Easy to clean exterior compared to a 5th wheel. Cheaper as well....
You talk about solar but what is the battery capacity? I haven’t seen you mention that in one of your videos. If we’re out in the middle of nowhere solar capacity is crucial information.
So a new F150 hybrid states it can tow just over 12,000 lbs and has over 1500 cargo capacity, and a 3.5 twin turbo hybrid engine with over 500lb torque and you say it is not recommended to tow this unit? Would you recommend it if the tow speed was no more than 55 MPH?
Let me say this. Mine fully loaded does make my F350 squat. The tongue weight is just over 1200. So if you want that 150 to not have the front end on the ground go for it.
@@Mario_Prata why would it be on the ground if it can carry 1500 lbs? Just asking before I purchase a HD truck I will only use 5% of the time when moving the camper...
@@commonsenseguy8189 JD has said a number of times the rear suspension just chant handle that king of weight. When ford gave the the truck a 1500lb payload it for the whole truck, passengers, cargo fuel ext. I had a 150 and a smaller camper with a 1000lb tongue weight and I was always light in the front end. Plus this camper is over 40 feet long, any cross wind will make that 150 be like a rubber duck in a hottub
@@Mario_Prata now that makes sense to me. Thanks. I think I like the Grand Design 3100rd better if I am thinking about the F150 hybrid... (Or maybe the '22 Tundra hybrid...)
Not enough prep space around the cooktop. Something that's done too often in these RVs. You really need a good amount of counter space on both sides of the cooktop. Not enough counter space over at all. If you're going to stay in this thing for a while where are you going to put your toaster oven where are you going to put your Keurig where are you going to put your can opener where are you going to put your paper towels where are you going to put your dirty and clean dishes? Where you going to put your salt and pepper? There's just not enough room on the counter space. It's very pretty overall but that's about it

I have been watching your channel for a while, and I have to say it is very impressive that you NEVER seem to catch yourself or camera in any reflections. With all the mirrors and windows. That is impressive lol.
Yes really like this one! We’re full time RVers; so this would be a nice upgrade from our ‘12 Jayco
It is certainly one of my favorites couples floorplan. Just heavy and long
IT would be, if it had any exterior storage. Instead you end up turning the back of your truck into storage for living supplies. which completely defeats the reason to full time in a travel trailer.
Now that's what I'm talking about. The bathroom does this one justice! Nice.

JD. This is my exact camper that we just got back in April. We tow it with a 2020 F350 SRW with the 6.7L and we have an equalizer hitch set up
What did you end up paying?
@@Burroughsbikebuilds 62k. That was with adding slide toppers and a washer/dryer combo

Beautiful travel trailer. I love it. I believe that's what I'm looking for, for long-term living.
You know it's a big bathroom when you can put another coffee station in it!
That thing is pricey but it smells quality everywhere i've seen.
After having a sink in the outdoor kitchen in our Tracer 3200 BHT that’s a dealbreaker for me.
Like that corner sink, island setup, and lantern lights.
That would be ferfect size for anybody. It is beautiful!
If the slide in the living room was all the eat to the wall and I could have a sectional, that would be perfect! It is beautiful!
That thing is really nice the rear kitchen is amazing
That is gorgeous. Made dark and light colors work.
Love the kitchen sink area. Beautiful place overall. Nicer than my house.💖
Thats one big beast of a trailer. All the Eagle trailers are pretty spectacular but very long and heavy.
Oh that's nice! I favor the mid-living, rear kitchen layout personally. That master bedroom is huge! Very nice unit.
Honestly I haven't seen a newer Jayco that I don't love. They just trim out their rigs so well, their layouts actually make sense, and they always feel so spacious.
I hate it when they blend the kitchen with the living room.i seen some where they separate the two and that's awesome.
That is why we love our Grand Design 3100RD.
