I’m so happy John finally made a UA-cam channel ever since I became a fan of him for he’s absolute sick surfing skills I always wanted him to make a channel and this is a dream come true thank you John and love your vids keep it up brah 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Nice boards that was kinda funny pushing the heel into the deck, his reaction. Being lite there is loss of strength so many broken boards these days, so easy to dint those decks. It was great to watch and listen to the haircut conversation with Nathan, I like his vlogs hope you do more of that and Ivan, maybe he doesn't like the camera so much, thanks for the post dude.
John john can boost like no other, but can his tendons, ligaments, & muscles handle it? Lifting weights might be somethings john john will need to adopt to further his domination.
Julian Perez depends what weights. Massive difference between gaining mass over strength. Using your body weight is the best way to gain strength and speed.
@@robertpatterson8437 As a weightlifting surfer, trust me, all it does is slow you down. You won't find any fast action sport, from motor racing to tennis to running to swimming where bulk from heavy weights does you any good. Staying lean, quick, spry and athletic is what's needed. Muscle is dense and heavy, ALL it does is slow you down, and weigh you down in the water. You don't need strength, you need endurance and reaction / reflex.
Don S You obviously haven’t read everything I’ve said dude 😂 my first comment I state that lifting weights will not help you in surfing in any way. I’ve studied the human body and how best to gain specific ways to improve it. Like I said using your body weigh to gain speed and STRENGTH as in endurance and over all stamina is a great way to go. I agree with you, just don’t think you understood what I was trying to say
Those boards look wider than I'd have expected. And over 6 ft to even 6 2 did he say? I always like a bigger board. The days of the squashed in low volume match sticks are well and truly over IMO.
Yeah, the application of composite material, carbon fiber & Fluid Dynamics Simulation really made high performance surfboards reach the extra step, with a better volume distribution, resistance, buoyancy and hydrodynamic without compromising the initial design and dims of the boards. All this even make them more accessible to low skilled surfers, good times to be a surfer.
@@haha5571 Actually it does because it relate to surfboards performance and more surfers are starting to learn what make a good board and what would be good under their feet. But It's not very interesting to the majority of surfers since they're not shaper or surfboard's geek and have very little interest in Technical Know-How. Also don't be dismissive to people who are interested in the tech and inner working of something. People like that are often the reason we progress and can enjoy many things in live.
@@Xainfinen most people would be better off having a board with way more volume then they normally ride ( at least another 30%), flat bottom with V and it being a single fin with small side fins... that's it...
@@haha5571 What? No, that's not it. I think you misunderstand progress in the surfboard industry. What you said is exactly what all these new tech allow and more: better material for better buoyancy, resilience and volume distribution as well as fins variety from those FDS. Thus giving a wider range of high performance boards that can be used by intermediate to advanced surfers. The 46-55+ L (+30% than regular boards) all-round, shortboard that aren't 8ft logs, still paddle as good and help the above average Joe to catch more wave. That's tech! And there you have it, that's *it!* Volume is in everyone mouth since the last 4 years, more people are getting educated about surfboards to get what's best for them. Sure, many buy things that aren't suited for them but that's not the point and if they don't want to learn that's their problem. All that mumbo jumbo to try to contradict what I've said or making it sound useless without understand it in the first place is tiresome. Not everything is a marketing ploy and a James Bond gadget.
at 6.21 Pyzel is talking.. the board behind him, looks almost like there are channels in the foam??? do you channel for strength in these light boards, but in the foam? or is that light making it look that way
Hey John do you ever play any other sports outside of surfing to stay fit..? playing football ( soccer ) or tennis can really help with reaction times and core strength, aerobic training.. not to mention it's hella lotta fun.
I'm a huge JJF fan, have been from the start, but intentionally digging your heel and making pressure dings for no reason (bad jokes are not a reason) on what is basically Pyzels hand shaped and sculpted art is just heartbreaking. Be careful about losing touch and realize that most people save all year for ONE new board that you are so casually effing up. Pressure dings from use are a testament, doing them intentionally when the creator is repeatedly asking you to stop is just childish and cruel. Not sure why this bothered me so much, just disappointed I guess.
He's getting the deck dented up for better grip. Pyzel has been doing concave decks on some of JJ's boards, this one might not have had it. Can see why Jon would be getting a bit squeamish watching JJ try to "break in" his new craft.

This is the content were asking for
I always wondered what it’d be like to just be having a casual session and you look up and see John John stomp a 540
Pyzels the man...be kind to him.

Liking the inside content. Hope you’re recovering nicely from the surgery

Good vibes with the crew, sweet blades and positive energy all round...

Goodluck for your recovery
This was so good to watch. Damn that injury!
Thanks! You guys make me laugh. Heal up JJ!

Wouldn't have prevented John's ACL injury - acute accidents happen.
Lifting weights doesn’t help you surf dude 😂 Cardio and strength training does

Can’t wait to see more
I seriously only watch the WSL to see Kelly & John so I’m bummed but my first thought is for JJF to get healthy & happy ✌️
Love the vids man hope the recovery going well
Golf ball decks are the future.
O melhor no mar... John John...
This vids are SICK, keep it up bro, hope your alright after the surgery
Golf ball was too much🤣🤙🏻
pressure ding your new board in front of your shaper hahahqq
Do that to the bottom if you're thinking in terms of golf ball design. Aerodynamics= hydrodynamics.
These videos r soooo good🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Best surfer

I wondered where Ross williams went, hes awseome
Keep these going. Oh and let me paint your boards :)

Poor Pyzel, thought he wasn't going to be blullied no more after highschool...
I’m subscribed to your channel and liked every video.
just one of those boards would be nice
John needs to start weight training with Nate! He needs more strength to prevent injury and he's unstoppable!
Pyzel's arms are so freaking long!
Legends
Yeah Johnny!!
i love his curly hair...

🤙🏻😎 Approved!
Koalas aren’t bears, Pyzel. ;)
Get well doon sir John. Can you autograph a hat to mike and give it to ross. Tell him its for the son of one of the guys that sprayed ross's yard😎
two questions. where do i get one of those foils? and will i be that good first try?

Nice 🤙
Would golf ball indents under the board increase speed?
Yea man
What's the logic behind training on the Gold Coast? Cool place for most people; not so much if you're from Hawaii.
All you Vlogging Hawaiians don’t forget to still make a surf film once a year or two
That guy reminds me of Anthony Bourdain rip
