    Sorry to correct you, but luckily Mickey, Minnie, Tinkerbell (and Goofy) are still the hosts, the humans were only added for a pre-show for Mickey’s big 90th.

      @@TjSamson no worries it’s fine! It’s a good thing that pre-show was only in for one year and done after that. I don’t want to be reminded of that Mickeyless mistake called Dare to Dream lol.

    Also, "Princess Wishes" was a replacement "Princess Classics", not "Jungle Adventures" (aka "Three Jungle Adventures")

    • @TjSamson
      @TjSamson  5 років тому +2

      Princess Classics existed till 2009 which later replaced by Dare to Dream in 2011 but some of their props and segments are also in Treasure Trove (2010) now known as the The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice which premiered in 2016. Jungle Adventures ended in 2006 and they recycled the backdrop/stage for Princess Wishes.

      @@TjSamson Ohh OK. I was only aware that Princess Classics was dropped in 2010 or 2011 (Disney Wiki being my source here) with no new name/segments. The reason I thought that Princess Classics was replaced by Wishes is because of the "Princess ball finale" concept having been used in both shows (the entire second act of "Princess Classics" revolved around Cinderella according to the program book; while Cinderella's story was the final skit of "Princess Wishes")
      Wishes lasted until 2011, the same year when Princesses and Heroes premiered (it's now called "Dream Big" to go along with the 2016 "Dream Big Princess" campaign).
      Treasure Trove/Wonderful World of Disney was actually a retooling of "Disneyland Adventure with The Incredibles", which later was renamed to just "Disneyland Adventure".

    As much as I love the Princesses, why does it seem like every Disney on Ice show now has to revolve around them, or have segments based on their movies as if this rule-of-thumb is done out of obligation?

    • @TjSamson
      @TjSamson  6 років тому +2

      Disney right now have launched a campaign called "Dream Big Princess" back in 2016 and this show in the video we're renamed after on it. Then in 2017, they released another Disney on Ice called Dare to Dream (old show and name but revived) which continues the campaign. Princess Wishes (now Dream Big) was also created back in 2006 for the past Princess campaign.

      Tj Samson Not to mention _"Frozen"_ has it's own Disney on Ice show, with _"Frozen"_ having the cliches of a Disney Princess movie; currently it's the ONLY Disney animated film to have it's own show, and not just represented as a segment (the only other 2010s era Disney film to have a Disney on Ice show is "Toy Story 3", however that ended in 2012)
      I believe one of the shows you mentioned was recently retooled so it now features a segment based around _"Moana"_

    • @TjSamson
      @TjSamson  6 років тому +2

      Yeah, you're right about Dare to Dream. I think Frozen on Ice will not end since Frozen 2 is coming out next year. It might be retooled soon to add some elements from the sequel. This era of Disney on Ice is all about popularity and high demands from audience that's why we lost so many segments based from a lesser known films whenever Feld Entertainment retool their Disney on Ice shows which is kinda sad but I don't blame them.

    • @AndrewsMagicandMore
      @AndrewsMagicandMore 5 років тому

      @@TjSamson While it's understandable in a business standpoint that they do this, it's almost bittersweet how Disney/Feld seems to drop segments/characters from older IP's (intellectual properties).
      Now it's primarily those movies that are part of the Disney Princess series (but even then the shows often have segments based on "The Little Mermaid", "Tangled", "Frozen", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" but little of the actual classics like "Snow White") or produced by Pixar.
      It's for this reason reason I kinda regret not actually seeing the "Celebrations!" show aside from clips of it on UA-cam, it had an entire segment based around "Alice in Wonderland" and also had a scene with Jack Skellington singing a medley of his songs from "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

    • @TjSamson

      @@AndrewsMagicandMore You will love Treasure Trove (Also gone) even more. The Alice in Wonderland segment they have is so well done and not to mention, Peter Pan.
      But yeah, Celebrations was my favorite Disney on Ice show (the Halloween segment is everything) until Mickey's Search Party premiered last year.
