I Made A Days PAY In 2 Hours At The Scrapyard (Kind Of)
This week i am off work i am trying to get all my scrap metal offloaded and weighed in with a scrap yard run. Day 2 and its time to load up my scrap aluminium, brass, copper and other non-ferrous metals and try to make money scrapping metal.
It's been a while since i took some non-ferrous metals to the scrap yard and i wasn't too sure what the current scrap prices were, to my surprise I Made $281.55 in 2 HOURS at The Scrapyard.
This video is not a how to make money scrapping metal for beginners, make some quick cash with a scrap metal side hustle or highlighting things you can recycle for money, its just part of my story of what i do as a hobby scrapper to make some extra side hustle cash.

Electric motors are absolutely worth stripping for the copper wire right down to 2" diameter. It takes up less room while hoarding it than all metals but lead. Bugger giving profits away to the scrapyard. I see you bothered taking the steel off the copper ally radiators for the better price- so the motors not being stripped is surprising. Copper prices go up and down seasonally so you could be missing 2 bucks a kilo cashing it just anytime. I have a 1 tonne payday planned for all grades of my copper so the difference in prices can mean a $2k loss if I don't pay attention. The steel pays the fuel cost and more, ally, stainless, and lead get me a nice bonus regularly and the copper will get me a nice car or something big in a couple more years. Surely when ally is worth cleaning, copper is worth it more.

@@rossbrumby1957 your right, it would be more profitable to spend time with the motors but I dont have a lot of time spare these days and when I took the copper off the radiators, well that was a rare time I had time lol. Great to hear of your 1 ton payday thats awesome......thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
